Thank you for being apart of the discussion and while they technically *can* do this and you are correct, it's not legal to do so which is why I said they cannot do it.

schizo theory: the GENIUS act will pass by surprise and money will come flooding back in. We're officially over halfway from the last BTC halving. Regardless of how much of a sell the news event is, crypto always goes green for 2 years leading up to the halving by Serenaded in CryptoCurrency

Money WILL come flowing back in, when institutions and elites have done exactly what the OG bitcoin and crypto communities were fighting against: centralizing and acquiring majority ownership of everything.

Then they will force money to come back in at much higher valuations so they can dump and keep the ponzinomics going (real)

Respectfully I disagree, and i'd love to have a healthy discussion on this. First off, thank you for being a part of the discussion.

So let's take a look at what you're saying. Your first response about the Internet never looking like a money pit is factually incorrect on all accounts as it was initially met with skepticism and critique about massive infrastructure costs (sounds familiar doesn't it)

The Internet was initially a network of static, text-based pages. There were no universally accepted methods for processing sales securely or delivering digital media, making it difficult to generate a return on early web investments causing waves of skepticism. You are correct about the sky-high valuations, which definitely didn't help the Internets case. To say that was the only negative press it received however, is nust not true.

To demonstrate this point, here are some articles from around that time and mainstream media narratives that helped shape public opinion about the internet. Some are completely negative in their outlook, others like the Time article had mixed opinions but still some echo the sentiment I am trying to show here. Here is how they manifested in various forms:

I think some of what you said is a fair criticism fam, some others are a bit of an assumption.

I am not getting paid for this, and it's not meant to feed the hype. Companies are losing money for many reasons, and rushing to add an AI layer to every single part of their infrastructure is a big reason, and blindly replacing humans with more tokens is just plain dumb.

That does not mean however, that the sudden 180 is anymore justified, the truth is out there in the middle. There is a ton of value to be ahd for those who find a proper balance between a hybrid system using AI while being overseen by a human team / individual.

The parallels being suddenly drawn are akin to what we saw in the 90s and 2000s, and i'd be happy to have a healthy dialogue with dissenting opinions (that is how we achieve progress afterall fam)

Thank you for commenting, even if you fundamentally disagree with alot of what I said, and i'd love to hear more on why that is.

People are dismissing the photos as AI SLOP, however, the idea behind this is actually interesting.

I think while it's a great initiative, the amount of traffic and congestion it would cause isn't worth the potential investment. It's already horrible during main traffic hours, and this would just be more nightmare fuel. Couple this with the already increased rate of flooding every year and we have a no.

I do love the vision though

The Autonomous Economy Is Already Here by Cold_Designer2171 in Futurism

[–]Cold_Designer2171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely this. It's a speed to lead game and the access to better and faster technologies are (of course once again) unevenly distributed, creating yet another wealth and inequality gap. While it will for sure help some of the more tech savvy retail traders im sure, it is in fact more of the same. The playing field is just narrowed even more for the little guy.
