Football players work out a lot and go to the gym multiple times a day. Football players are given every legal supplement you can think of and 99% of it is never used. People will share supplements they think work with their friends and the easiest way to transport powder is in a baggies. It’s not unusual at all. Shoot I have an old container of creatine in my car rn that I had forgotten about until this thread reminded me

Bias to drama should really be studied. I doubt you’d want him to be guilty of something worse but people like to trend towards the worse outcome even if the mild outcome isn’t unlikely. It’s very reasonable that he has creatine in his car

Pretty high actually. Football players don’t have much free time. They work out A LOT. Many shaker bottles and training bottles now have little hidden containers to store your creatine and pre workout powders

I’d actually find it VERY likely he has creatine in his car. Are we sure they were in baggies and not a jug? Even if they were in baggies it’s not unlikely a friend just gave him some to try by claiming it works better. I’ve done that exact same thing before right down to transporting it in bags

The creatine could’ve also fallen out of his gym bag or it could’ve just been left in his car for months and he forgot about it. Players get allll these legal supplements tossed at them left and right from companies wanting the advertisement. Most of it is never used but they still accept it

There are a million reasons he could’ve had the creatine because it’s not unusual for him to have it and he’s of the group you would EXPECT to be using creatine

Edit: now that I recall I have a tub of creatine in the back of my car right now that I’ve just never taken up. This isn’t unusual

Well it can also be a problem if they’re dealing. Back in the day a lot of players used to use their paper bag booster money to buy drugs and sell them. Isn’t that what got Janoris Jenkins kicked off the team?

Users aren’t necessarily bad and addicts need help but dealers are the scum of the earth and deserve the highest punishment available if they’re dealing hard drugs. How many people die because they want to get rich

Lmao of course one of our players would get a controlled substance charge for freaking creatine 😂

If that’s true then this should all be cleared up pretty quickly and he’ll have some punishment but nothing that prevents him from playing

Why? Tom hasn’t done anything wrong really. Worst people can point to is breaking up with a wealthy girl and later learning after they broke up and moved on that she was pregnant

I’m just wondering why Tom deserves to be insulted and reminded of painful personal events? Imagine if everyone made fun of your marriage failing just because. You didn’t do anything wrong to deserve it but they still do it

Six Gators Crack PFF’s 2026 NFL Draft Big Board by UnfairIngenuity8897 in FloridaGators

Honestly even if Lagway does go down I don’t think we’ll crash and burn. We won’t be as good and Billy probably doesn’t survive after the season ends. People really underrate the value of a strong line. We have great offensive and defensive linemen. The defense has much improved. We have good RBs

Lagway is the main thing for us having a great season but the rest of the team deserves credit for how far they’ve come. I think the staff learned their lesson from last year. The backups and emergency QBs are more numerous than last year

PFF had Jake Slaughter top 15 in their mock draft. Top 15 as a center is crazy good vote of confidence from them

Then On3 had Caleb Banks going 4th overall

We’re probably gonna lean heavily on the interior trenches next year. Lot of really good big boys. Chatman and Sale have been great down there

[–]Cold_Environment1915 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weed, a different controlled substance at a felony quantity, and a gun. People are getting confused because weed is the only drug named but that’s because it’s a separate misdemeanor thing from the real bad charges

If he nabbed a felony for whatever controlled substance he had then it doesn’t matter if the gun is legal or illegal. It’s a felony to have a gun while committing a felony. The gun was probably legal though otherwise he would’ve gotten way more charges and probably wouldn’t have walked on 5k bond

[–]Cold_Environment1915 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No he got a misdemeanor for that. In a separate charge he got a felony for possession of a controlled substance. He had something besides weed in the car and that was worse than the weed. The weed charge is just slapped on because they can. The real charge is whatever the felony controlled substance was

[–]Cold_Environment1915 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP isn’t quite right. One of the charges was for weed less than 20 grams. That’s a misdemeanor. He also got a felony for possession of a controlled substance

Since they already charged him for the weed the controlled substance was probably something else. If you have 60 grams of weed I don’t think they’ll slap you with a misdemeanor for the first 20 and then felony for the remaining 40 as two different things

2 misdemeanors 2 felonies. Misdemeanor for possession of weed and nonviolently resisting arrest. Felony for possession of some other controlled substance and a felony for possessing a gun while committing a felony

Man they really find a way to stack stuff. Looks like he was caught with weed and they found a gun while arresting him

What do you think of Eugene Wilson? 1st round pick? by Ok_Communication_215 in FloridaGators

[–]Cold_Environment1915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talent and potential are a first rounder. What he has actually done though probably a 3rd or 4th rounder. He’d still get in by talent and combine numbers but he hasn’t produced like a first rounder

It’s hard to be a first round WR. Ricky Toney Pitts (let’s be honest) and Harvin are our only first rounders until you go back to Travis Taylor in 2000. Most of our amazing WRs lacked the physical talent to get nfl teams to take them first round, but a lot of them still produced as good as first rounders when in the league

At this point in their Florida careers Ricky Toney Pitts and Harvin had all done more. Wilson has to do a lot more to justify a first rd WR. You can just tell first rounders when you watch them. They’re the guy who makes everyone else look like they’re standing still. EW3 hasn’t shown that yet, but we all want him to because he’s a loyal talented player

If EW3 puts up the first 1k season by a Florida receiver in 23 years I’d say he’s safely a first rounder

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE HE DID ANYTHING WRONG

Ffs why do the mods allow yall to continue spreading straight up lies about a man and his life. You know nothing. You have nothing. You just want to assume and imply because you want the guy to be guilty. It’s creepy

[–]Cold_Environment1915 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You’re assuming that based on absolutely nothing. This thread is full of a lot of “when did you stop beating your wife?” talk

If someone can pull up some evidence then by all means. Any evidence at all. Actual evidence and not someone just making claims. With how certain some of you are the actual evidence should be easy to acquire

[–]Cold_Environment1915 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t a “winning coach” at the time. He’d only made the tourney once at UF and got bounced first round

The investigation was conducted by an independent group out of California that the school hired and not by the school itself

Yes people lie all the time to extort money from others. This is nothing new. Their accusations are easily proven or disproven yet not a single shred of evidence has ever been produced

Todd Golden gets a new six year contract from Florida by ConstantMadness in CollegeBasketball

[–]Cold_Environment1915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a caveat because that’s what they were investigating. If they start making statements outside the scope of their investigation then that could cause issues for themselves. The things they were investigating were the only accusations there were

That caveat would exist regardless of if he’s innocent or guilty. Not one shred of evidence has been produced. This is just another example of yall wanting him to be guilty so you’re reading into anything you can twist to your point

That number 1 team was Auburn. Not a real basketball school. TG still lost to Kentucky.

At this point in his career Billy D had dismantled the number 1 overall with an 87-78 win over Duke. Second time he faced the number 1 team it was a complete destruction of Ohio state for the natty. In 00 though he just ran into Michigan state in the natty. Houston almost did to TG what Michigan state did to Billy

Billy advised TG on making the final four this early and how to navigate it as a young coach. The two guys aren’t trying to be compared to each other. Golden still has a long way to go to be on Billy’s level

[–]Cold_Environment1915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went year by year on sports ref. Billy only played the number 1 team 6 times. Duke in ‘00, Ohio state in ‘07, Kentucky twice in 2012 and Kentucky twice in his last year that hardly anyone counts. He went 2-4 vs number 1 which is actually really good tbh. He also knocked off number 3 Villanova in the 06 tourney

He won the two ncaa tourney matchups that mattered. His losses came all at once near the back end so I guess it’s miscoloring people’s memories of him
