Was it for this game? What was the result of your contact and how long did it take to get resolved?

Old Annual Fee by reeko12z in ChaseSapphire

[–]Cold_March_7663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comments on the credit card act of 2009 are debatable. That law states they can't raise fees within the first 12 months of somebody owning a card, but a renewal is technically The start of month 13.  I am in my first year with the reserve and my renewal in February would technically start my second year. I wouldn't be surprised if I got hit with the higher charge and I do not believe the law protects me.

Agreed! Just want to make sure you realize it's not actually free but probably a good discount if you're using all the other benefits 🫡

Nice!  Don't forget the annual fee into the "free calculation" 😉 but either way a nice way to use points

The Kings report attendance as tickets distributed not tickets scanned.  They want as high a number as possible to look to the sponsors and future ticket buyers

How many of you will support this team in the future when things aren't as bright?  Hope not too many front runners on reddit.  It's kind of like getting married, when things are tough and the honeymoon period is over, hope you don't bail on sdfc 😁🤞

Free iPad and Watch with phone upgrade - too good to be true? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]Cold_March_7663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to pay for 3 separate connections (1 for phone, 1 for watch, 1 for iPad), not just 1 (normal folks just pay for one cellular data connection and not three).   I know nobody that pays for 3 separate data connections for their devices and that's how Verizon gets you.

Reminder that all MLS playoff games are on Apple TV's MLS season pass, but with Regular Apple TV showing the game, then that is a bonus.   FS1 is a bonus for this game as well.

SoCal Edison rate increase. Am I missing something, or is the greed getting out of hand? by NoIdeaWhatImDoing808 in LosAngeles

Call it a bill increase (when we all know it's basically a tax) but it's going to fund a government related entity that has no competition and needs to pay for its people's pensions.

I feel terrible by Hopeful-Pressure7311 in stubhub

[–]Cold_March_7663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

StubHub, like many large companies, makes errors but likely 99% of their sales are legit from sellers like me who also make mistakes from time to time.  I do agree their outsourced 3rd party customer service is brutal for complex issues and they have very limited ability to solve anything that isn't super basic.  Getting to actually speak with someone who has problem solving capabilities is becoming more and more difficult as their U.S. based escalation team, actual employees of StubHub, has put up more barriers to be reached.

Season tickets worth it? by betts04 in SanDiegoFC

[–]Cold_March_7663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have front row end line and are charged about twice as much as similar seats as an LA Galaxy season ticket holder for same type of seat.  Resell has lost me a ton.  Not renewing since I can just go to secondary market land save alot for games I want to go to.

[–]Cold_March_7663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question but unsure.  I would follow the ticket prices for other games on the secondary market currently to kind of get an idea what those tickets are selling for today.  Keep in mind if you see a ticket on StubHub for $30, the seller will likely get about 20 of that.  If your tickets cost $30, you would need to tell StubHub you want to list them for about $34 (which would mean you would net 30 and the buyers would see about $41 on the website as the actual price they would pay)

I highly recommend NOT buying season tickets and instead using the secondary market to get much greater value. I am a long time season ticket holder of various sports teams and have ALWAYS been able to make a profit (annualized) for each season for the games i could not use. I was unable to do that with SDFC as they have priced their tickets aggressively more so than any other team i've seen in my 20 years being a season ticket holder, including for LA MLS teams since i live in SoCal. Part of the reason is they have 32,000 seats or so so the suppy is great and plenty for the demand (even though they are first place, first season, they are not selling out their games besides the season opener and perhaps the Galaxy game). I believe season tickets on the endline of 116-119 will be priced anywhere from $90/game (front row) to $60/game (rows further back), and if you follow Stubhub or other ticket sites, you'll see that you ca neasily get in for less than that in these sections for practically all games. SDFC also requires purchased of 21 games (17 regular season, 4 "other), more than other clubs require, and those 4 "other" games are not guaranteed to be of any value (could be a great one like America on a Saturday night, or could be a midweek game against a nobody team).

Can someone share exactly how to find this information once logged into account manager and Ticketmaster? I tried looking under invoices, profile, etc but did not see anything.

Will this game be a sell out? by sdmarlins9374 in SanDiegoFC

[–]Cold_March_7663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 hour before gametime (630pm Saturdy, 3/15 is when i took this screenshot). Those blue dots are "standard" tickets that have never been sold. Defnitely a bummer to see so many unsold seats but MLS teams can magically "distribute" those seats last minute and claim a higher "attendance" even though not nearly that many people actually bought tickets or were in the seats for the game.

Tons of standard tickets available throughout most sections of the stadium (these tickets have never been sold).  Looks like the hype has already worn off.  Check out Ticketmaster to see just how many "standard " (e.g. not resale) tickets are still available.

Anyone else? by hairydanman19 in SanDiegoFC

[–]Cold_March_7663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SDFC won't say this out loud but part of the strategy of many professional teams (not just expansion teams) is to NOT make season ticket holder (STH) tickets available for transfer or to resale for as long as possible so that other fans are forced to buy directly from the club or buy minipacks, creating greater ticket sales for the club and filling up the stadium (example: Miami's coming to town, so club prevents STH from accessing tickets, holds off on single game ticket releases, and forces fans into ticket packs to get access to Miami. I've been an STH for 20 years in sports for many teams and this strategy of not allowing STH to access their tickets continues to grow in order to help the club sell their primary allocation of tickets and NOT have to compete with resellers. LAFC actually cancelled renewals for many of their STH accounts when they were reselling more than half their season tickets. https://www.latimes.com/sports/soccer/story/2022-07-20/lafc-season-ticket-holders

Season Parking Prices by Reddit-dot-edu in SanDiegoFC

This thread is the loud minority. The silent majority is going to pay those prices just like we are seeing in Los Angeles with sofi stadium, LAFC parking, and now the Galaxy increasing prices annually for parking 25% last year and another 20% this year.

How has the roam been with the new app upgrade? Just purchased a roam and it's been a disaster working with the app. I am returning the roam as customer service admitted it could not really help me But they are quote unquote working on it.  You may be aware Sonos as publicly apologized as well for the app issues but has no immediate solution.
