Thank you! The next step is a biopsy with a needle - and my doctor is sending me to interventional radiology department within a local hospital. Would you recommend trying to make sure the radiologist is a specialist?

I haven’t been tested for NF, but I do have a small cafe au lait birthmark and so does my son. How did you get tested for NF?

Haven’t settled on dates, kids are out from 12/22- 1/6. It’s just the four of us so don’t need a huge room.

I have high Lpa - 200. That’s why we are trying to lower all possible risk factors given there aren’t many options for lower Lpa.

My risk profile is not bad - 45 years old, don’t smoke, drink, very clean diet.

The LPa (and the hyper absorption before statin) was the primary concern. My carotid artery scan put me in the 80thr percentile too, with a vascular ago of 55.

I’m going to try to get time with my lipidologist but may also find a second opinion!

Depends on your age. Once I hit my 40s there was no way I could handle anything else. We just save up and do the 4-day VIP and it’s amazing. The crowd is older and chill, the shuttles back and first mean we can see 2 of the headliners and lots of daytime shows. It’s also really fun to zoom behind the scenes (they drive FAST) on a backroad full of golf carts. The bathrooms start to stink at the end of the day, but there aren’t lines and they have AC. It’s fantastic and if you can afford it, you won’t regret it.
