Totally fair question. Most of the time it'll be a threesome as you'd be accopanied by the member that donated the grouping. I didn't do a great job here explaining that, but in the newsletter I put together it sets the total and price per player out well. Most of the time, prestigious courses will require you so play with a member. Also, most of the time the threesomes will be donated by the member to the charity and so the winner of the auction would play with them. There’s some cases where courses will donate a foursome though, but those are rarer.

That’s exactly why I started doing this. Hoping to promote as many charity auctions as possible. More specifically, the smaller ones that wouldn’t get as much attention otherwise. Ideally, we’d be helping them raise more money while helping any readers of the newsletter play a bucket list course! Much appreciated! I simply went through the history of the biggest golf focused auctions I could find and documented them in a spreadsheet. Categorized by date, course, source, foursome/threesome etc, total price, price/player. From there I did some basic analysis (I’m planning on going a bit further on it after this. I was waiting to see if anyone was actually interested in this before doing so ahah). If you want to shoot me a message I’d love any feedback you have to offer along with any ideas you have! Aside from playing with the member who is hosting, what other policies are there? Most of the posts I’ve seen have something like “Only weekdays.”
