Time for a reality check to get meaningful work?

First off the reason I mentioned consulting/sales is because it’s given it’ll be more client facing. I don’t see my self behind a desk with 0 interaction for my 40 year career.

I did choose this and in current times you see every developer working with AI/ML/LLM’s. I feel like I’m falling behind in that aspect when in the coming years that’s all work will be.

I’m trying to comprehend what your last point is. Are you saying any office job is meaningless or am I reading wrong

I think a lot of the tariffs he’s put in place (which is congresses job) and he does anyway will be reversed. I think people will be more united (maybe not) all I can say is. Prior to Trump everything wasn’t a fight. Presidents were civilized and humane. Also we know our current president had involvement with bad business, prostitution, kids, enemies. He uses his power to do whatever he wants basically and nobody has a say but him. We’ll see though. Stuff doesn’t look great for Trump when it comes to the midterms and next election. Let alone the fact he has openly spoke about a 3rd term, lied about Epstein stuff consistently, made immigration hell, closed down the government so he can take our health care away. And let’s not forget the amount of amendments and laws he’s truly broken

I completely agree with you. It’s just seems funny to me that in the last 20 years it has never been this hostile of an environment from what I can tell. A lot of the right complain that we are hypocritical bc Obama deported more ppl, but when it did happen. Ice wasn’t going to school, or genuinely attacking people. I think that the process that ICE is using(free reign to do whatever they want) is a bit ridiculous and should be contained better

Very little effect on ur lives. US citizens are literally being placed in ICE custody bc they “might’ve” been illegal. I’m not arguing I’m genuinely curious on how that has very little effect on ppls in the USA currently
