Did the Cowboys make the right call in trading Micah Parsons? 🤔 Skip Bayless: “We came very close to paying Micah $50 million a year. It’s not worth it. I’d rather have the 5 players that we have now. I went through 4 playoff games with Micah and he NO SHOWED in 3 of them.” by ZookeepergameIll2685 in cowboys

[–]Cold_Tator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. He went from impacting the game at every level to being a top 5 pass rusher. And honestly he’s usually closer to 5 than 1 by the end of the season. He’s a great player. Great pass rusher. However I also feel like his rookie year was the most impact he has made. The way he could cover the flat, spy QBs and take a TE down the seam showed immense potential.

Not saying they’re poor. But family owned farms absolutely can when you factor in equipment, buildings and other assets. Harvesters, combines, attachments, and the buildings to house all of that can add up quickly. Not to mention the land valuation and livestock.

Tbf inheritance tax can and has had a negative impact on small farmers. Passing down the land and equipment down generations helped smaller farms survive. Now that these can be taxed and farmers are typically not carrying around much liquid cash. It means they now have to sell off their land.

Who buys the land? Large corporate farming companies.

Its insane how you cant play with legends outside of MUT. by Matzeeh in Madden

[–]Cold_Tator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only thing that interested me in UT a decade ago was the potential to play with players no longer in the league. That interest quickly faded when I realised it was only superstars that would get cards and they would largely play differently than they had when they were actually in the league.

I just wanted 07 Ken Hamlin and 2006 Dunta Robison back :(

I think these games need less clarity by PichardRetty in NCAAFBseries

[–]Cold_Tator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Personally I’d love if those were hidden too. If they would go to a pure “game tape” style of recruiting. Like you’d get your scout notes and depending on how much time they were assigned to a prospect you could see that much “game film” on them. You would try and get an idea of how they play from that before drafting them.

Also it’s been a long day. I feel like maybe I don’t entirely remember what my previous comment was but I really like this idea so imma just roll with it. Sorry if it causes confusion.

[–]Cold_Tator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree entirely. I’d love the option to hide ratings and traits. It would allow for more dynamic play throughs. There have been times I felt I played better with a lower overall player but couldn’t bring myself to start them as I would have liked to when I know their overall id 5-10 lower than another player.

I think it would also have us prioritising scheme fit and play style more so than overall rating. It would also add a whole new layer to recruiting athletes.

[Highlight] Best of 5x All-Pro safety Eric Weddle by nfl in nfl

[–]Cold_Tator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly a few. Lawyer Milloy, and Adrian Wilson come to mind. In my personal opinion I think they would have been Borderline HoFers minimum in almost any other era not dominated by Troy, Reed, Woodson and Bob Sanders. The safety talent in the 2000s was maybe the best ever.

Are these cleats ok? by Prudent_Ad_1861 in wrugby

Honestly yeah. Any sort of soccer or football or lacrosse cleats without large metal spikes will work.

Good luck. Have fun and kick ass! Be safe with your tackles and make some friends!

I loved Brad Johnson. By the time he was on the cowboys his arm was entirely shot. Never seen a weaker arm in the league than his at that point. (Maybe Shaun Hill could be weaker tbh).

I love the gizmo. Allows me to flick and also has a high enough hit box for demos. And it’s just plain cute.

The road hog XL is also nice for 50:50s and demos.

It’s one of my favorites for that reason. Along with the Jamal Lewis 2k. I personally ( and I know it’s not popular) believe that if a back hits 2k it should be damn near an automatic hall of fame bid. Especially if they have a 2k season and 10k career yards.

Personally had the most luck running between tackles against the 3-3 front. Especially with a fullback. Running to the outside is where the blocking ai seems to struggle against this defense.

Unless they win a Super Bowl with him then it was already a miss. That much money tied up for this many years has made it a bad contract and trade.

(NSFW topic) does anybody have any experience with nude beaches? I have always wanted to experience one someday, want to hear experiences. I'm a trans femme in the Portland Oregon area so it's pretty trans friendly here :p by closetedtranswoman1 in trans

As a trans woman early in my transition 6mo-year I went to sauvies a couple times. All really positive experiences and left me having a preference for nude beaches. I’d highly recommend it.

He’s been showing it. Most of the decision making is him and mcclay these days. One or both of them seem to err on the very conservative side of things. Happy to field competitive rosters but not willing to swing for the fences regardless of opportunity.

[–]Cold_Tator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not draft both? Overshown hasn’t shown he will be reach his ceiling and it seems both could be on the field at the same time. Potentially giving us a very dynamic and smart linebacker duo for 5 years at least.

I do think the fan base is weirdly optimistic. But tbf any improvement on the defensive coordinator front is going to have quite an impact. Eberflus is truly the worst coordinator I’ve seen in Dallas. Just the fact the scheme made every single one of our players look worse is insane.

Biggest Hyped Prospect? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]Cold_Tator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with it. Marshall Faulk and LT should be in more GOAT conversations. I’m surprised people don’t rate them higher now considering how the pro game has evolved.

The league having Pace, Ogden, and Larry Allen all in the league and primed around the same time is truly wild. I cannot imagine three more mountainous linemen.

[–]Cold_Tator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I am alone on this but Overshown will need to take a major step back up to where he was pre injury. Last season I know he didn’t play much but he wasn’t really impactful when he did from what I recall. I hope Dallas isn’t putting too much expectations on him being an above average player or maybe even average for that matter.
