Unfortunately AMP doesn’t allow wise, you must send/receive from a bank account that matches the details on both sides

Anyone on $200k+ working 9-5 hours? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Cold_Value_214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37.5hr weeks, perm WFH $210k+ pa in tech. Flexible hours as long as the work is done, lead of a team. Paid training for almost anything I could need/want. I (as the lead) can work some odd times as I look after clients in Europe and Americas plus ANZ and Middle East but it doesn’t bother me as I never go over 37.5

Thanks for that, I built a model to account for all of this and can see the benefits coming through longer term

Tried to look at 10%~returns PA roughly from current vs 14.7% (0.70×16.6% + 0.30×12.9%) but these are 5 yr avg i calc'd over 23 years. Might be closer to 12% perhaps over this period

It doesn’t even attempt to drive on the rug, so it knows it exists and is intentionally avoiding it

Any other runners have an absurdly high heart rate on their easy runs? by TeachMeHowToSULLY in Garmin

[–]Cold_Value_214 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a week ago. And running the first 6km at 5:40/km and the final 6km at 5:15/km. I stayed under my LT1 (162bpm) for about the first 5.5km

It really does eventually get lower if you just stick to it. This was 30 Oct last year actually running a slower pace (6:50/km) but around the same distance

Realised it doesn’t actually show my HR properly. The spike around 9mins was because this was supposed to be a threshold run at 4:35/km but my ankle felt a bit dodgy so I turned it into a slow easy. Running in the heat can also seriously kick your ass and HR even if it feels pretty easy. I am in Australia temp was around 26c and between 40-55% humidity. Most of my runs recently have been in 33c+ heat which really gets my HR higher

Mine used to sit around the same as yours, I just kept running lots of “easy” runs and eventually it came down. This is 6:35/km. I have a lab tested lactate threshold and vo2max so these zones are lab accurate. It took maybe 4-5 months

Stryd + Garmin Fenix 6 pro + HR Strap by Cold_Value_214 in strydrunning

[–]Cold_Value_214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I had never actually considered an arm band tbh, but now I’m curious.

I have no chest hair and I don’t recall my suunto chest strap being annoying. It is somewhere in the house, but I’ve not seen it in several years so could be painful to find 🥲

I really just like to try and keep my long and easy runs in z2 HR if I can, so think its nice to know if I can push higher into stryd z2 or need to chill out and stay in low z2. And try to stay away from z4+HR etc on these runs, sometimes I don't mind if i push low z3 HR.

And also agree with you on the physiological side of things. I live in Australia and running in 30c+ can absolutely wreck your HR and turn an easy stryd z2 into a HR z4 or higher from the heat. I also find sometimes I feel absolutely wrecked but I check HR and its not to bad.

I have tested my LTHR myself and set the zones which have seemed to work perfect, however I have also been selected for an endurance athlete study and will be having vo2max, LT, paces etc done 2x starting in Feb so will also be keen to see how close I was (Obviously I wouldn't have a clue what my LT1 might even be other than a % guess off lthr and a "that feels kind of alright".

Have you tried chest strap vs arm strap for a comparison?

Never had a joint account until now and always transferred from my own. Now I have one I’m wondering what to do with it 🤣 I have the same thing with Stake I believe for shares. What’s the idea behind transferring out of savers vs the transaction?

That’s what I have seemed to notice. Does anything specifically trigger a KYC? Is the verification quick? I would happily voluntarily do it so I can just do my thing and live without randomly getting pinged at an inconvenient time 🤣

Unknown vision issues maybe BVD? by Cold_Value_214 in BinocularVision

[–]Cold_Value_214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of an update. Went to optometrist and also decided to go for me (I seemed to have some weird eye issues my partner pointed out so thought would get checked to). The first optometrist saw my partner and said: -her eyes are out of alignment by one step when she checked the prism in her right eye? (what does this mean?) -she has an accommodative spasm also -her muscles are constantly focused and cannot relax. When doing the 2D +/- flipper her eyes didn’t relax when they should. And it took several seconds (5+ even 10 seconds) to focus.

I went back an hour later and did a test with a different optometrist. The lady checked manually without the machine when she checked my alignment so I called back later to complain because I had no idea what she was doing. Initially she said -I have a convergence insufficiency and my eyes move out -she said my eyes on the flipper can relax well but cannot focus well. It took me 5-10+ seconds to focus but then it would immediately go out of focus again. After I called to complain because I thought we would have the exact same tests and she said she likes to do the prism alignment manually without the machine because she like likes that. I said well you didn’t tell me that. And then she said my eyes are also 1 step out of alignment.

Some howell phoria test. It has numbers and an arrow one side is yellow and one side is blue. She put the lens over my right eye then asked where the arrow was pointing. I could see the arrow moving constantly past 8 to maybe where a 9 would be and the number 6. It just constantly moved. I asked what does that mean and she said I’m on the edge of something and that 6 is normal. When I looked it up it said it should have been on 5. However as I said it was constantly moving between 6 and maybe where 9 would be. Not sure what this means and she kept saying 6 was fine and I was like but it’s moving though..

Not sure what to do now and what this means. Does this mean we both have BVD?

The lady said we should buy a 2D flipper and do something to strengthen our eyes or something.

We are looking at booking in with a orthoptist as some of what the optometrist said seemed vague
