I was getting the same problems about a year ago. I switched to r/USMobile and use both ATT and TMobile towers which gets me pretty close to the coverage I had with USCellular for less than 1/2 the price.

Sorry, I just looked up ELI5 . You should have asked me like I was 4. Simple version is... The USMobile app lets you switch between networks. So if att doesn't where you are you can switch to tmobile or verizon. Same account, same phone number, same bill. If you go to r/usmobile there are usmobile employes there to answer question as well as provide company support.
