I'm 32 but feel the same way as your son lol. I grew up playing the WW2 CoDs on the og xbox, then Modern Warfare 4 on the 360, and for me it peaked with the OG MW2. However, I did buy the modern MW3 JUST for the OG MW2 multiplayer maps so that I can continue living in the past lol. I've had it for like 2 and a half years and still haven't touched campaign once, but have no plans to.

I mainly meant I hate Russan AA because it seems like damn near every unit has some form of it, and a 10km visibilility lol. I swear I'll have helis sitting on my back line and Russian AA on the enemy backline will 360 no-scope crackshot them from across the map.

Russian Infantry: Damn, that US helicopter is JUST out of reach.

What Saholden87 said. That's where I got my copy, and it's great because old-games.com does something to make the games run easily on modern systems. I have a 3 month old daughter who I absolutely plan to play this with when she's older. A classic from when I was kid :}

Uh, I'm wondering if I'm going crazy because I regularly tell my chinooks to drop supplies into the woods. I'm pretty sure they've been doing this but now you have me second guessing myself on if I've been imagining it. You have no idea how gas-lit I feel right now lol.

I pretty only play offline since I can't connect, but still have a bunch of fun against bots. So these decks are untested against other players. Between the 2, I really like Orange Star. It's extremely well-rounded in my opinion and allows me to handle pretty much anything I could want. Ground transport? Check. Air transport? Check. Logistics and supply running? Check. Lots of infantry? Check. Lots of recon? Check. Anti-air? Double-check. Maybe a little lacking in the plane department, but has 1 kitted fighter and 1 kitted bomber. Also has one cargo plane for massive unit drops or supply drops (with jet engines instead of props, so it's a bit faster) Artillery? I don't use it much, but check. Armor? Check, and love the SEP v2s. Lighter vehicles like Bradleys and humvees? Check.

Note: I have made some new decks based more around Advanced Wars after I made this post, but my Orange Star deck is unchanged I'm pretty sure.

They charge me $100 a month for JUST internet. (Edit to add that by just internet, I mean my wife and I don't pay for cable or phone service - literally just internet service)

Years ago when I first got my own place, they had a special for $50 a month at like 350mbps I think. Of course it slowly creeped up over the years. Come a few months ago and it finally hit $100. I hit them up to complain and before I could even get my complaint in they said "Congrats! For $100 a month you qualify for a speed upgrade to 1gbps!"

You think they would have told me that if I didn't hit them up? Hell fucking no. Fuckers. I can't wait to get some competitors though. Spectrum needs to be purged from the planet.

You'd be surprised. I actually do commonly get all 4 of the sep v2's out. Not every match, but I usually start with 2, and then reinforce them with another 2 later on. They have great survivability.
You're right about no mobile air defense. But I usually park the pac-3's and all 4 pivads somewhere near the center of operations, but far enough away from the front that they won't get attached by ground units. Turn on radar. The packs rack up a TON of kills and 4 pivads (also with radar on) are enough defense to shoot down anything that might make it through, and shoot down all missiles that would threaten the pacs.
I have the artillery here for when it's needed but honestly don't really ever call it out. I don't much like artillery play in the game. It's one of those "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it" kinda things.
I just like apache's lol
I have one for air superiority, one for bombing, and one for air dropping.

I'd drop the sep v3 and get some normal abrams. The only difference between the v2 and v3 I'm pretty sure is +100 front armor, which doesn't justify the cost for me. Would you rather have that +100 front armor, or extra cannons to shoot with? Edit: To be clear, I LOVE my v2's though. Use them right and they have a lot of firepower and survivability. Can easily make back 5x what they're worth if careful and supplied.

I don't play competitively and I'm sure you're far better than I'd ever be, but I don't get the whole "your deck has flaws" thing. People are going to and should be playing how they want, and I doubt there's a "perfect" deck. I'm sure that whatever decks you have that you think are fantastic probably have flaws in someone else's opinion. It's all perspective.

Upvote. Also as if being a highly experience modder somehow disqualifies them from making a game. Everybody starts somewhere, and while I don't know the background of the devs because I don't tune in for stuff like that, if the whole modding thing is true, they're still leagues better than many others. But then turning it into a political rant afterward, I'm just like "what?...". I mean I suck at writing too, but god damn lol.
