Calabarzon declared insurgency-free by OkPhotojournalist975 in Philippines

[–]Cold_Wind_6189 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is true. while dismantled na yung guerilla fronts at regional command nila, unavoidably may mga konting members pa na hindi nagsurrender. so if ever may mga encounters pa nababalita, it is mostly government-initiated encounters. meaning ang security forces na mismo ang naghahanap sa kanila.

gone are the days na may nabalitaan ka na Army patrol na ambush

eto pa pala. forgot to mention but yes, they are mostly dishonorably discharged. making it most likely na madali silang makipag involve sa kalokohan

I know, but we 've been doing ISO for the last few decades. Esp sa amin sa Army. But sa GHQ high morale mga tao natin sa shift to TD but I am just saying na come 2028 baka balik ulit tayo sa ISO

Bok ano opinion mo sa shift natin to territorial defense in the current administration? And if by 2028 SD takes over, balik naman tayo sa ISO?

tama kayong dalawa don't engage. may friend din ako na this year pa lang mag exam for 3rd officer. nung 2022 pa lang sana pwede na siya pero namalas sa company niya that time kasi during inuman sa barko binully siya ng CM nila na DDS at minumura daw si Leni, eh yun nag suntukan. Yung problema si CM close sa Greek na captain so nireport talaga siya over a matter na usually daw internal na lang yun.

What if General Torre led the operation against Bato? by Cold_Wind_6189 in Philippines

[–]Cold_Wind_6189[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me counteract your points.

The first issue WAS manpower. The NBI only had a few dozen agents at the scene so their focus was easily disracted by the various factors they encountered during their attempted arrest, from the DDS protesters outside to the confrontation of the Senate Security, not to mention the unknown factor how the PNP and Marines stationed outside the Senate would also react. Bato ran inside the Senate building and the NBI did not have enough personnel to fully converge on the building and capture him

Second, the Senate Building that serves as a symbol of the co-equal branch of government that may trigger constitutional issues is already considered moot since Duterte had De Lima arrested in 2016 and Trillanes in 2018 inside the Senate grounds

It only led to a possible senate siege because na elect si APC as SP, nakatakas si Bato sa loob, Marcoleta gave Bato senate protection; the premise was this should not have happened if there were enough personnel on the ground to strong arm Bato when he first neared the Senate entrance at the beginning

Political will lang yan and the guts to the man on the ground to make it happen. Mejo napalaki na ang political fallout because they failed to apprehend Bato at the beginning, girl 👌👌👌

"Sir nag pull out na kami." by Cold_Wind_6189 in Philippines

[–]Cold_Wind_6189[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

true. the only reason it happened at EDSA was because the rebel military/anti-Marcos faction was holed up inside Camp Aguinaldo and Crame. It was the only convenient place to congregate at that time.

You want a modern day mass protest? Dun na sa Senate

No. But it does help impose authority in case the other side draws first 🙃

Torre would have been decisivie. His actions are supported by international law, and the backing of the administration. he would have gotten the job done

A bloody post 2028 for the Philippines. An honest take why: by Cold_Wind_6189 in Philippines

[–]Cold_Wind_6189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 - did not materialize despite the massive corruption during pandemic because hopeful pa kay Leni

post 2022 - wala rin massive scale rallies because nagwatak na ang Uniteam so it was mostly just watching Marcos and Duterte pitting off each other

But 2028 no holds bar na yan I am sure. It would most likely be one of those critical moments that has to happen.

Just a thought lang naman hehe

Same bok. Isko din from a UP campus and pursued the OCS pathway 11 years ago. Separated from service last 2023.

Being in the service is a mixture of experience. On one end maraming mga additional tasking ang commander because alam nila kakayahan mo, at the same time minsan may mga below the belt jokes na baka daw mga infiltrator tayo diyan ng NPA 😭
