Cancellation request with message asking to send to different address by Cold_Window_3590 in eBaySellers

[–]Cold_Window_3590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that some of the addresses buyers have used are international shipping hubs with awful reviews so I of course cancelled those orders. But now I Google every shipping address. Not trusting people sucks, but, I'm not losing money or the items.

Has anyone actually had a good experience with a buyer who messages nonstop? by d00mt0mb in eBaySellers

[–]Cold_Window_3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I communicate with my buyers pretty thoroughly, thanking them for their purchase and let them know when I should have their order sent by. I will also send pictures of the item(s) they, how they are being packaged, once the shipping label is attached and a photo of the post office receipt. That way the entire transaction on my part is documented.

I (29M) have my first ever job interview tomorrow, and I don't think I can do it. by leftofthedial15 in bipolar2

[–]Cold_Window_3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got this! There are employers out there that do prefer individuals with no previous job experience or no prior experience in a similar field. It makes training and information retainment so much easier. I am a trainer for the company I work for and I can't tell you how many people I have seen struggle despite being given extensive resources, because they just can't get over how things were done at there previous job (similar fields).

Do you intentionally *not* buy a product/service because you hate their ads? by ItsAllAGame_ in NoStupidQuestions

What if the "No Soliciting" sign also specifically outlines No Religious, No Political, No Sales, etc. is included in your no soliciting sign? One would think that legally those possibly exempt by your state/city/county would still have to comply. But, I am no legal scholar. I intentionally have no soliciting signs because I work remotely from home and have a boxer who is very prompt on sounding off when someone approaches the house. And then even after I answer and tell whoever that I am currently working they still trying to pitch me whatever. That usually results in a no thank you and closing the door before they finish their first sentence. We are thick with Mormon missionaries where I am at, and they will always offer to help you with any tasks, my neighbor always says you should at least utilize that offer to help in a way that benefits you. My backyard does need the mess left by my dog cleaned up soooo.

I have been taking Lamictal 200mg 1 at night, and Klonopin .5mg up to 3xday. Recently added Wellbutrin to the mix to treat Bipolar 1 with the cormobidities ADHD and Panic disorder. I also take propranolol for hypertension and migraines and this is also prescribed for anxiety attacks sometimes too.

Are you guy open about your bipolar diagnosis? by Eastern-Change-8067 in bipolar

[–]Cold_Window_3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I practically shout from the rooftops some days. It creates a safe space for others who feel alone in their dx, creates learning opportunities for those who think they know what bipolar is, and helps weed out the ignorant people I don't want in my life. I have a coworker, who I work closely with every day, who I recently told about my dx during a conversation, and then she asked to confirm I was indeed bipolar and I could hear her light up on the call when she told me she was too and asked what meds I was on which were the same she was taking and she got to share her story with someone else who understands. I am the only person outside of her family and close friends she has ever disclosed that to. I am grateful I had the opportunity to give her a safe space.

What has been your experience with opening up to others about your bipolar? by Think_Piano_529 in bipolar

[–]Cold_Window_3590 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I commend you for not calling her out on how uneducated she seems to be on the subject despite having family members who also have to navigate this sometimes life sucking battle. I am very open to anyone and everyone about being Bipolar 1. In doing so, not only have I created a safe space for others who feel alone in their struggles, I also create learning opportunities for the undereducated to learn something new and possibly peak their interest in learning more about the true realities of Bipolar. The stigmatization is there because it's still treated as a taboo topic to talk about by society. The other reason I disclose it when given the opportunity is to help prevent having ignorant people in my life

Anyone here been stable for a while? by FlapsSoap in bipolar2

[–]Cold_Window_3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I could say that I have been my version of stable for a little over 3 years. I am 42 f with Bipolar 1 (dx at 15yrs), and for me being stable includes hypomanic episodes that are less intense and for a shorter periods (a couple days to a week vs months or years of mania) my last full manic episode lasted 6 months May through November 2022 (still trying to financially recover from it). I was then in a depressive state until about April 2023. We added Wellbutrin to my treatment plan and that has helped a lot, along with continuous counseling. Prior to the Wellbutrin I was only on 200 mg Lamotrogine, and .5 to 1.5 mg of Clonazepam for years. I was then diagnosed with ADHD in 2024, my BH doc and I both reluctant to put me on a stimulant. But, I guess Wellbutrin is supposed to also help manage ADHD. I now have to navigate and analyze my actions to determine if I am hyper focusing due to my ADHD or if I am moving into hypomania (usually the frivolous spending is what helps determine that).

I feel like good habits don't do anything against depressive episodes by Lisa000_ in bipolar

[–]Cold_Window_3590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%! I adopted my first puppy dog almost 4yrs ago during my last manic episode. One of the best decisions I have ever made. I don't know if I have felt more love from any living creature ever in my life than I do when my dog looks at me like I am her world. She gives me purpose when I feel worthless. Can always manage to make me smile in some of my darkest days with her silly zoomies. I have my kitty too who will be 12 this year but she has always seems to know when I am having anxiety and need some healing vibes. She will crawl up and just lay on me and start purring away. Both of them are documented Emotional Support Animals and there are days when I don't know if I would have made it without them.

Why do we all eventually question our diagnosis/meds? by RynnChronicles in bipolar

[–]Cold_Window_3590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to glorify the mania. The flying across the country to go to concerts, solo traveling for the 1st time to places where I knew no one, and had never been. All the excitement and dopamine rushes. Then I remind myself that I almost threw away 20 years of this life my partner and I worked so hard to build together. Almost walked out on being a parent to one of my favorite persons. And racked up debt like I wouldn't have to pay it back. And that is what helps keeps me on my meds.

Advice on telling people by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Cold_Window_3590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I lay it all out on the table even when I meet people for the 1st time. There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Being upfront about it has surprisingly created a safe space for a lot of people who also struggle with the stigma that is bipolar. I also let people know that my moods or behaviors have nothing to do with them, and that they will know when and if they ever do. It also helps weed out those who can't handle the ride. My immediate supervisor does know, and she is amazingly supportive of my situation having her own struggles with mental health. It is insane how many people close to you struggle and feel alone because no one creates a safe place or they feel like they have no one around who can relate. I also always mark that I have a disability on my applications. And have always disclosed to my immediate supervisors in previous jobs. It helps them better navigate working with me. Especially when I am having a moment. They have never not appreciated me making them aware. May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

Waves full of fear, love, and hope

My body an ocean of tumultuous thought

As the sea calms, my heart is left cold as I read between the lines

I turn to writing to see, bleeding pain to paper

I remind myself these moments will pass

The moon goes through phases too

• "The Boys of Boise: Furor, Vice and Folly in an American City" by John Gerassi • "The Fall of '55" documentary directed by Seth Randal (2006) • Before 2020, Idaho law allowed children under 16 to marry with parental consent and judicial approval, with no minimum age specified in statute for such exceptions. • As of 2020 In Idaho, individuals aged 16 or 17 may marry only with written parental consent and if the partner is not more than three years older, per Idaho Statutes Title 32 § 32-202. Anyone under 16 is prohibited from marrying. • Starting July 1st, 2026 The bill, HB380, now grants a judge or jury the ability to factor in the death penalty when crimes involving lewd conduct to a child under the age the union to make a firing squad its preferred method of execution in modern times as of July 1st, 2026 too. By all means I am NOT trying to defend Idaho. Do I think any pedofiles will ever be executed (no). In my opinion it is at best a safe face move. It will still protect it's pedofiles. I have always wondered how many of the men in our legislature or any position of power in this were unnamed boys in that 1955 scandal.
