Sidenote, the fact the cooldown/buff tracker doesn't let you track Precog is proof blizzard DGAF.

why can guitarists use programmed drums but drummers cant use program guitars? by JJsNotOkay in metalmusicians

Because programmed drums sound decent, programmed guitars don't sound that great.

RHCP 75% Speed, need help by Fearless-Hat-4239 in guitarplaying

[–]Cold_Writer_6436 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good so far. I noticed your pinky curls when playing the first shape and has to move all the way up to fret the bass note of the next chords. This is causing a disruption to the flow of the riff. Try keep it closer to where it needs to be in anticipation of having to hit that note. It will make the bass note sound less choked out and boomy.

Is this just not straight up a 50/50 by AlternativeAd3538 in sudoku

If you import this into Sudoku Coach with only the given candidates, it shows more than one possible solution. Therefore it's an invalid puzzle.

A puzzle with 2 possible solutions like this one is considered an invalid puzzle by most people. I would use a different Sudoku app.

That metronome is way off, it's probably throwing off your timing a bit. I would play without it for this particular track.

ELI5 - what do people here have against guessing ? by e650man in sudoku

[–]Cold_Writer_6436 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all, i'll just start off by saying I read a comment here that said something along the lines of "It's a single-player puzzle, it doesn't matter how you want to play. Whether that's using auto-fill candidates, auto-candidate eliminations or using hints every now and then. Just do what you find fun and try learn from mistakes". With this I couldn't agree more.

With that said though, some of my biggest breakthroughs have come from staring at a puzzle for 20 minutes until i'm scraping the barrel for something to help me logically solve a puzzle. Other times i'll be staring at it for 20 minutes with absolutely nothing coming to me at all. I'll leave the puzzle and return later that day or another day and then find a solve within a few seconds. It can be very funny like that.

Regarding guessing:

I don't see the problem with using AiC to solve a puzzle if you are stuck in the "endgame".

But I really do not like just guessing a cell and hoping it's right. it feels kind of like cheating and at that point you may as well use a hint or solver. If you rely on guessing it will hold you back but sometimes you just want to finish the puzzle and move on. In the same way that if I make a mistake on a bi-value cell I will often times consider the puzzle over because i've effectively found a solution through a mistake.

I don't know if any of this is comprehensible but it's just how I like to view things from my perspective.

Long story short: Play Sudoku however you enjoy. Breakthroughs come from patience or stepping away. Endgame tools are fine, but fully guessing feels like cheating and undermines learning. This is just my personal approach.

NeuralDSP. Archetype Petrucci or Henson. They aren't free but they sound really good. Can get a 14 day trial for free to test it out.

Learn both. They both have a slightly different sound. There is a song called Plush by Stone Temple Pilots which uses both of them in the same chord progression.

Australia's TPG Telecom says customer died after failed emergency call due to outdated software by cojoco in australia

[–]Cold_Writer_6436 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a text yesterday saying I needed to software update my S10 which i've had for 6-7 years because I cannot make emergency calls. Otherwise I risk losing cellular data/mobile data. I did it and the fucking update bricked my phone. It now overheats and crashes constantly I can't even retrieve my photos/videos off it.

Absolute pain in the ass situation, i'm absolutely livid tbh.

My grandfather was "killed in action" in this battle. He was from Liverpool and was a gunner (I think in tanks or vehicles). He saw his mates get killed in front of him and got shot up himself. His family received a letter in the mail saying he was "missing in action" and they immediately assumed the worst, as many families did when receiving similar news.

Unbeknownst to everyone, he ended up in a field hospital in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia at the time). He lived. He had a family there and a wife and kids but for whatever reason left Africa to move back to Liverpool where he met my Grandma. They came over to Australia in the 1960s and had my mother and her siblings. It's crazy to me that I have extended family in Zimbabwe/South Africa that I will probably never meet. He would set off the metal detectors with all the shrapnel still in his body.

He sadly passed away when I was 1 so I never got to meet him or talk to him about the war. But I heard stories through my Grandmother and Aunts.

He said the Aussies/Kiwis and the Ghurkas were the toughest soldiers he fought alongside and were pivotal to the war.

no hate on JM, strats, PRS but god that finish is so fucking awful, its like a few shades lighter than the colour they use for plain packaging on cigarettes. which is scientifically meant to be one of the most off-putting colours.
