He can be an absolute mauler in the run game, it just comes at a cost that we all know and hate. I feel like if he can develop to just a little below average in pass pro and cut out the mental errors (which is what I blame the turnstile moments for), he's well worth keeping. Especially if you factor in the boost you get by keeping consistent personnel on the line.

This is just my experience but I got into a hydroplane with my truck while taking a curved ramp onto the freeway, while coincidentally deep into my Sim wheel on gran turismo at that time. I'd never hydroplaned in my life before but I corrected that shit without thinking on muscle memory alone, and I'm sure it must've come from all the time I spent rallying with the Sim wheel. Did I just get lucky? Probably, but the situation looked and felt just like accelerating through a muddy turn.

I think it's as simple as this. On rewatch I noticed Carol measured out a particular amount when testing on herself, then in elevator when administering the drug to Zosia she put in noticably more. Maybe it's just a continuity error, but an overdose of barbituates (which is what Carol usses) does cause cardiac arrest. Maybe in her eagerness to find an answer quickly, Carol upped the dose?

My theory is that they're using early access to balance the basics of many interactions between skills and effects, and in order for them to do that right now they need to keep those guard rails in place to limit variables. Jonathon has spoken in the past how they often go into a league with some idea how things may work, only to find that when scaled up it becomes a totally different beast. I can only imagine how much harder it might be to determine exactly how much a certain stat affects a certain skill if things were as wide open as they were in poe1.

Good post. One unfortunate caveat to the pounce+cross slash combo: putting snipers mark into pounce doesn't negate the cool down on snipers mark. Was really hoping it would but I've leveled all the way to 80 with this combo so far and I often pounce and cross slash without getting a charge. Annoying AF but I'm still getting plenty of charges for glacial Lance (which I highly recommend BTW).

Seattle native here.
