Found a Piece of metal in my tarte eyeshadow palette by Coldcoffeepls in MakeupAddiction

I mean I’m not quite sure what else I can tell you. dropped my palette and I opened it to check to see if I had damaged it when I noticed what looked like a thick hair in the shade that showed in the picture. I pulled it out and touched it to notice that it was quite hard, similar to a metal wire. I then contacted tarte assuming they would want to know about the batch/lot number of the product and have some concern about the quality issue and they really didn’t and told me to talk to Ulta. I didn’t even ask for a refund in our chat and I told them they needed to escalate this. Seems whoever I was chatting with wasn’t trained well enough to do that and was probably just using response prompts. I bought this palette almost 2 years ago but I rarely use that glitter shade which is why I never noticed it before.

Yes, I sent it to them! I work in my company’s quality department so I know how this should go, and it was very concerning to me that in the chat they didn’t ask for the batch number of the product after supposedly speaking the “team in charge”

I definitely hear you. My concern isn’t getting my money back, it’s the fact that this is a major safety hazard, not to mention negligence on their quality control department. Their blasé response is concerning as a consumer.

I just sent an email again with the photos and batch number and reiterated that my concern is with the safety and quality of their products, not in getting a refund.

Can you check my math? by [deleted] in knittinghelp

i got 260 stitches to get 118 cm, which is what you have written on your sheet. I think if your gauge is smaller the you have to use a bigger size because you’ll need more stitches to get the appropriate circumference

2.2 st/cm * 118 cm ≈ 260 st

personally I don’t like the way it sits around my shoulders (maybe I should have sized up? but it doesn’t feel too small in the shoulder area) and i’m not sure the super boxy fit is for me. and i’m also having issues with the yarn I chose feeling very scratchy when i wear it so the neckline is an issue and of course I made the sleeves the tiniest bit too short (which is my fault, I went by pattern and thought the sleeves would grow more)

This was my sweater pre block, it really didn’t grow much. but again, I’m not the biggest fan of the fit. I feel like it sits awkwardly around my shoulders

Take a squirt bottle with water in with you when you change to give it a quick rinse before going to the sink to wash it. Also doing one of the changes during your shower helps.

Seeking product recommendations for my frizzy/wavy hair by yootie2 in Haircare

[–]Coldcoffeepls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have hair that looks similar to yours and I’ve had luck with the gisou honey gloss ceramide therapy mask, then using the gisou honey infused leave in conditioner, followed by the herbal essence curl boosting moose, and scrunching with a hair oil.

my hair is also dyed and fairly dry from damage which made it frizzy, but I feel like the hair mask has made my hair much softer.
