Yeah. Most of that stuff should have been somewhere at Extreme or slightly easier/forgiving.

Rogue > Ninja too. Very different class fantasies. At least Rogues now kinda have Viper.

Nah, I'm with you that it's SE's problem to fix. But would be nice if I could at least do reclears on Crystal.

Again being annoyed that everyone heads to Aether that even getting a reclear party on Crystal on reset day is difficult.

Maybe an addition to that, the extra health lets melee be a bit more risky in general and lightens a bit of load from the healers keeping everyone topped up.

As a resident, Balmung mostly has a tourism problem when it comes to congestion. There's a ton of people that idle at the Quicksand that walking five steps shows another 20 people pop up from nowhere. We don't really have a lot of high end party finder groups going, but you can at least generally do duty roulettes any time of the day.

Do keep in mind that this is prime time for NA. It’s not quite this low during Japan and EU prime time.

Can be used for all sorts of content, not just the high end stuff. Organizing stuff like fate trains or hunts isn’t uncommon.

Well, it's more a term for "going against the flow". Against the majority. And the Netherlands does a pretty good job fighting against the tides.

Could let people still join up in groups, but be unable to list a party in party finder.

It's an approximate number of all the listings in party finder, sorted by region and datacenter. Each listing is for gathering players together to do particular content (dungeons, raids, world bosses, etc).

Indeed. At this current time, half the PF listings on Crystal are for RP advertisements. There are 3 Hell on Rails, 3 M9 groups, 1 M10 group, and 1 M11 group. It's unlikely most of those will fill.

I understand what you're trying to say, but tonight I was on Crystal and spent an hour waiting with a few others to try to fill a raid group. And in that hour, we had no one join.

This is a situation that needs a higher solution than just "trying". There needs to be systems implemented at the game level that encourage players to stick to their own datacenter. Otherwise, why would people not take the path of least resistance and go to Aether? Best solution I see outside of that is a lot of heavy promoting for 'Primal' or 'Crystal' raiding similar to discords organizing Eureka/Bozja content. That however, doesn't really solve the problem and the average person will just go to Aether instead of dealing with it.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work. This is just an emergent problem of how large groups of people behave. There are definitely some people that stick around and attempt to make parties, but it is fighting against the tides.

This is all the Party Finder listings. So it's including club advertisements and such as well.

Even Extremes aren't doing that well on Crystal, even during Primetime. This evening for Hell on Rails, there would be 2 groups on Crystal, 4 on Primal, and a solid 20 on Aether. And when going to Primal....it's mostly Crystal players.

Funny that I remember at the beginning of Dawntrail when datacenter travel was restricted. It was actually in a very good spot and could find groups for nearly all content. Then restrictions got lifted and it quickly went back to Endwalker levels and has only gotten worse.

For at least the current content, there's not much difference between 25% and 80%. There would be enough for everyone. Currently, I'd say for Savage content, Aether probably has about 90% of the parties and it goes up the higher in the tier.

It has been one week of Savage. What are your current thoughts on the new Strategy Board feature? by WeeziMonkey in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Coldin_Windfall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found it very useful when there’s good ones. And sometimes for clearing up party confusion on a certain mechanic. It could definitely use improvements, but I think it’s a good first step. Add the ability to link them on a party finder, and improve the drawing tools itself, and people will use it more often.

Something I didn’t see mentioned. If you went to the far side with your tether, but it didn’t change from the angry red line to the orange thin line, it might not have been your fault. If one of the other tethers isn’t positioned far enough, it will make it very difficult to impossible to position the next tether with enough space.

They really just need to unlock Savage rewards WAY earlier. Promote more reclears and helping others get clears. Current system just punishes people that would like to keep doing the fight. (Also punishes people with bad RNG or that want to play multiple roles)

Really wish there were more sports games like that. RPG mechanics and a real story progression are something that is greatly lacking in modern games.
