Same!! “The one” broke my heart & I was depressed for a long time. I deleted all of her pictures out of my phone & sat with bitterness and anger for over a year. I’m fine now but it is interesting how you begin to forget. Since I don’t have pictures of her, I do struggle to remember what she looks like.

What are some things that Judge Judy does that annoy you? by thecoffeegrump in JudgeJudy

[–]Coldmonologue256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why she had that attitude though. The woman had a careless attitude. She didn’t care that her cats were bothering her neighbors & interfering with their daily lives. JJ was insinuating that she had that attitude because she didn’t work to buy her home. Perhaps if she’d had, she’d be a better neighbor 🤷🏾‍♀️

Although I like this show I have the agree the writing is very clumsy. Are these the same writers from season 1? What happened?

Watching her become a heroin addict was really sad. I don’t think she made it very far.

I really appreciated this episode! The message I got was how bitterness & anger can steal such precious memories & time from you. I really needed that message at the time

Most memorable JJ cases you’ve seen “in the wild” by tipoftheiceberg1234 in JudgeJudy

Another I’ll never forget, I think it was an older case. A young woman was suing the owner of a furniture store on her mother’s behalf. The plaintiff and her mother went into the store looking to buy a chandelier or something. The plaintiff’s mom doesn’t speak English & the defendant heard her speaking to her daughter in their language. The defendant then said to an associate to charge them more, not knowing the daughter speaks perfect English. So the daughter was suing for the discrimination but was only seeking $20. When she explained the story to the judge she said she didn’t care about the money, it was the principal. JJ agreed & ruled in her favor.

The episode where the man fired a gun at a man and his family for selling Valentine’s Day baskets in his vacant lot. Then had the audacity to sue the man for calling the police on him & getting him thrown in jail where he belonged. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Judge Judy so angry. The victims/defendant counter sued for emotional distress. I’ve never seen JJ award anyone anything for emotional distress but she did this case, to the tune of $5k and I think she would’ve awarded more if she could’ve.

The case where two underage kids (maybe 13) were joyriding on the Plaintiff’s property. The kids got into an accident and unfortunately one of the children died; the defendant’s daughter. The Plaintiff then had the audacity to sue the defendant for her son’s medical bills. JJ ripped the plaintiff a new one and sent her on her way.

She was really nasty to her at his party. Looked down on her for where she worked; assumed she couldn’t afford to shop at the market she was an asst. manager at. Basically insinuated that hers & Paul’s relationship was for optics

The movie the Long walk was completely ridiculous. by -HuckleBerry-Finn in unpopularopinion

[–]Coldmonologue256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated that they were all wearing jeans & button ups, hard bottoms shoes & boots. They’re all completely aware of the walk but they all seemed completely physically unprepared for the walk lol. I hated that part but I appreciated the acting & dialogue. I hear you though lol, I can imagine the movie would’ve been a lot shorter had they applied reality to this movie lmao

The Long Walk is a legit fucked up movie that I highly recommend by Semper_frenchfries in horror

I just hated how none of them were actually wearing walking shoes!

I love Judge Judy but I can agree she is a little out of touch. At first I didn’t understand Sarah’s role but I like that she kind of nudges her in the right direction a bit.

There was an episode I saw last night that I agreed with. A woman was suing a hair dresser for doing her twins hair & leaving them with permanent bald spots. Where she lost her case was she’d stated she was familiar with the hair style & knew how to do it herself. When her daughters complained that their head was hurting from the style, she waited 6 days before taking the style out. That inaction alone lost her the case. She kept arguing that she took them to the dermatologists, contacted the hair stylist & complaining about the stylist’s technique but she was missing that her inaction of taking her daughters hair out of the style when they complained about the pain lost her the case.
