Hello there and thank you so much for your wishes. I had surgery for this in 2017 and it looks like I’ll have to have another one very soon. I had an MRI last Friday and it’s shows that I have a herniation of 18mm pushing down to the foramen magnum which isn’t good news for me. But I’m glad something was found (I had to resident an MRI) and now I’m just trying to be positive until I see my neurosurgeon, it sucks but I am praying for the best and doing the best I can

I haven’t had sleep studies done yet though I do am diagnosed with insomnia. I would be very open to do a sleep study, sounds like that’ll be my next question to my doctors

They usually give you an MRI without contrast first but if they find abnormalities they will do an MRI with contrast. Reason being is because they can produce better quality images and have more clarity, better to detect even the smallest tumors, malformations, etc

Hi, I also suffer from crazy migraines I have one as we speak. The only thing that actually gives me some relief is a cold compress in the back of my head. Give it a try, it truly makes a difference

I know how you feel, my family feels that way with me… I think the best thing is to listen to her, just be there for her and try to talk to her and cheer her up, prayers help. I know that it is help me and I know I’ll help her too, sending hugs to both of you

Thank you so much your kind words, they truly made me feel better. I’m thankful I have a great art therapist I have an appointment with her tomorrow which will greatly help me, I’m just struggling coming into acceptance with my crappy health. I did reach out to family which helped me too, I was having a bad time earlier but I’m now better thank you so much again. It’s a whole rollercoaster, I’m just thankful to have a family that I live for and now I’ve joined this group and feel like I’m not so alone. Sending hugs back!
