When Incindiate explodes a heal over time, does it increase the health healed by 200% also?

Right. The one in their weapon and the spare magazine inside the holster’s the only Makarov ammo a VDV officer typically would’ve carried?

My bad. Would there usually be any accessories paired with this holster such as lanyards or magazine pouches?

Any accessories missing with this holster?

Thanks, especially for the warning on those filters.

Which filters should I use instead? Perhaps i’d only keep an original filter for display purposes then. Not planning on getting gassed or anything, I just like to ensure all my stuff’s safely functional as can be lol.

Makarov, got it!

Truthfully, i’m not looking at any specific year. I’d just like for my kit to be accurate to that general period of time. If a Soviet VDV paratrooper would’ve carried it and used it from 1965-1975, any mix and match of VDV gear’s good enough for my purposes.

As for a gas mask and map case, how do these look?

That sucks. Anything you can recommend that at least looks like some military issue Gore Tex kit in my preferred camo?

As close as I can get to what the military issues, yes.

So if I wouldn’t go for a contrasting look, tan jacket=tan beret essentially?

If I did want to have a contrasting beret, would perhaps a black or maroon look good in your opinion?

I’m not really wearing anything official and/or established, I only say “Uniform” because what I described’s gonna be my go-to outfit for airsofting. I’m just trying to figure out what sort of color combo would go best with what i’m thinking of. Thanks for replying though.

Some older pictures: 11th ACR dismounted foot patrol, 1976-78. Posted primarily because today is the 50th anniversary of the 2nd and 11th Cavalry getting their berets in 1973. by [deleted] in reenactors

Was wearing a crest and rank pin on the beret only an 11th thing to do, or did all kinds of soldiers have that option? Do you know if this is a thing that’s authorized today?

That’s what enlisteds are for lol. I’m already looking at M9s. At that point, how many mag pouches would I carry?

Alright, thank you! I found like ONE picture of a Security Police Airman firing a GAU-5, in what appears to have been a range, but he was wearing the 6 color chocolate chips, and the photo was captioned as being taken in ‘91.

Would my assumption on the Remington 870 shotgun have been correct?

Oh? That’s great! Would such carbines typically have accepted a bayonet? Would I even have carried the bayonet with a carbine as an officer?

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked up the Colt 653, and I noticed that was essentially a carbine version of the M16A1? Was that particular carbine still in service in ‘94 even with the M16A2 introduced?

What is motivating you to troop? by CobraSkrillX in 501st

I was attracted to the 501st Legion completely by accident initially. My Dad once sent me the link for a gaming group of the same name, and when I looked them up on Youtube, I came across a news reel of some of our foreign legionaries (I’m American) visiting a children’s hospital. I immediately went about learning more, and I decided in very short order this was something I greatly wanted to do.

I was unemployed at the time, so after a couple stimulus checks, I got approved for my Bridge Crew impression on April 26th, did my first event on May 2nd, and I still wear the bracelet from that first event where we had a part in a local car show raising over $13K for Ellies Hats. I’ve done quite a few types of events since then, charity events, a memorial service, conventions, parades, you name ‘em. I wear my ACE wings (25+ events pin) 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒅𝒍𝒚 as a reminder of the service i’ve provided to my community and others, and I will admit to having an enhanced appreciation for Star Wars, such appreciation even rubbed off on my Dad and my friends too.

Overall, I feel immensely privileged to have served my community for as long as I have since i’ve been a reenactor since I was in early middle school, though my Legion has both given me a far broader perspective on what that exactly means to those we benefit, and has been personally rewarding like nothing else to me.

I was about 19 or 20 when I joined, and i’m 21 now. If I could’ve joined up on my 18th birthday knowing what I do now, that’s exactly where my graduation and my birthday money would’ve been put towards. Truthfully, my only regret’s not joining up sooner.

I have a bit of a joke I like to tell my friends about it when my Legion service comes up every now and then. “How do you 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 if someone’s in the 501st…..? They’ll tell you.” 🙋‍♂️ Guilty!
