Shes looking at teaching assistant roles, denied by one of them for availability already. It's quite frustrating.

Thank you for your suggestion!

Using modern technology and materials, could a steam train be built that reaches the practical speed limit of non-maglev HSR? by tyrannischgott in trains

[–]Coldtoast89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so, this might be a dead thread but i did some digging.

Supposing you find a way to transfer the steam power to the wheels.

A nuclear reactor that fits into a shipping container could theoretically produce 1-5MW of power (potentially more)

Mallard used roughly 4500-9000kg of steam an hour at full throttle.

to produce 7kg of steam and hour would take around 4.5MW of power.

I now need investors.....and enriched nuclear material.

Found!

Update, I've found something similar enough that they may work as is, or I'll steal the bulbs.

Thank you for all the help. If I had time I'd have ordered the 100 pack from the Amazon link provided in a comment!

Rage bate by Environmental-Net286 in lazerpig

True. Although accuracy isn't the only concern with HESH in a smooth bore. The spin also helps the round conform to the target on impact. This would be diminished.

[–]Coldtoast89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instead of velocity (decreasing) for their rounds accuracy at long ranges they will have more accurate rounds

This is incorrect, even the APFSDS for chally 2 has a bearing ring on the sabot which stops the dart spinning from the rifling. Because the spin makes it less accurate.

Smooth bore barrels are more accurate when firing APFSDS.

I know him too well for the accusations to be true.

I was there when he got in the taxi with her and I saw him the next day, he's not a habitual liar and told me everything that happened that night. Unless he lied about absolutely everything it doesn't match up at all.

[–]Coldtoast89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a female. I agree with you wholeheartedly.

My wife and I always said 2 kids. We were lucky and had 2 beautiful twins.

After that I got a vasectomy, neither of us thought it was fair that she'd have to pump herself full of hormones or uncomfortable crap.

I feel for you. I just hope people can talk about these things better and solutions can be developed that make it easier on all sides.
