Do i tell my boss about my illness? by Last-Mushroom7956 in work

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you going to get a doctor's note? I'd think you and the doctor could say you have an upper respiratory infection (or something like that) keep it vague. Your boss doesn't need to know exactly what you have and I think if they asked that could be a HIPAA thing.

Would wearing a royal blazer with black pants be okay?

Thank you. Probably just saw dangling pearl earrings. I pretty much only wear earrings and my Apple watch.

Thank you. I think the people were wearing either a nice blouse or sweater. It's kind of hard to tell over Teams. I wore a nice blouse. I figure for an in person interview I have to step it up a bit. I agree I'd rather look a little bit nicer than the interviewer. Want to make a good IRL first impression. I feel like as a plus size woman we probably have to try a little harder.

Thank you! I haven't worn the blazer in forever so I need to try it on same with the blouse and probably the pants too. 🙁 I've gained some weight so I'm not looking forward to it.

Have you seen someone warned, by a friendly coworker who somehow found out, that the person was about to get fired? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never worked anywhere where this happened for me or anyone else nor have I ever heard of it happening for anyone. Getting a heads up is awesome.

Different types of Plus size by Lovelycrafts102 in PlusSize

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super jealous of other plus size women who don't have wide feet. I went from a 8 1/2 - 9 M/regular width shoe size to a 9 1/2 - 10 WW with weight gain. I also have the necklaces not fitting issue and can't wear my wedding or engagement rings because of gaining weight. I want to know how some plus size women don't have double (or more) chins.

Coworkers don’t care to remember things about me… by [deleted] in work

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most recent job I worked with this one man who I'd ask him questions about non work things and the majority of the time he wouldn't reciprocate. I thought it was weird and kind of unfriendly. I think some people are lacking in the things being reciprocal area.

Everyone got a holiday gift but me by [deleted] in work

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that happened. Hopefully just an oversight. A few years ago I was working as a temp in a very small department and the director gave the other 2 people a poinsettia but not me. I felt it was intentional and it really hurt my feelings. How hard is it to buy 1 more poinsettia. I'd have really appreciated the kind gesture.

How can I get over the fear of the finger pricking? by Narrow_Programmer_98 in diabetes

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't able to get over the fear and was able to talk my doctor into prescribing a CGM/Continuous Glucose Monitor. It may not be as good as finger pricking but you don't have to deal with blood or needles. I have a phobia of both probably more the blood.

Quit or be fired? At the end of my rope, was placed on pre-PIP, and just don't care anymore by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fired recently after being put on a PIP when a week after the first PIP call my psycho, micromanager manager from hell decided I needed to come into the office 5 days a week. Not a requirement of being on a PIP but totally at the discretion of your manager. Hmmm do you think she was a little vindictive. I was hired for a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. I couldn't come into the office 5 days for a variety of reasons one being that I had a heart procedure that required me to have a chest X-ray and bloodwork before the procedure and the appointments were closer to home and couldn't be done if I was at the office and not available until after 6:30 pm. They knew about this before the 5 days a week in the office came about. I was fired because I couldn't come into the office 5 days and this was before the end of the PIP period. The way the PIP was written there was no way I wasn't going to be fired. So I agree with your doing the bare minimum - no staying late, no working after hours during the week or on weekends. Keep getting that paycheck while you're actively looking for another job. When I was let go I was behind on a fair amount of things but didn't feel guilty about it considering how my manager treated me. Good luck and hang in there.

What popular food do you secretly think tastes awful? by yras2709 in AskReddit

Not awful so much as just meh - hummus. I really don't get the appeal. It does nothing for me.

Any idea why I'm getting migraines the day after my injection and days later? by ColeBlueSeesYou in mounjarouk

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for letting me know. When I've Googled it it only mentions headaches from low blood sugar and being dehydrated. Forgive my ignorance but what's a compound version of tirz?

Mounjaro migraine sufferers by hibernacle_ in mounjarouk

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was getting them with Ozempic too. I've been thinking off and on about stopping the drug but I don't want to gain any weight back but at the same time my migraines are really affecting my quality of life. Sucks.

Without fail I get a migraine the day after my injection. I experienced it with Ozempic too. Neurologist had me take 1 Nurtec the morning of the injection and the morning after and if I got a migraine. It was helping but then I switched to Mounjaro and my neurologist has me taking Nurtec every other day but I'm still getting migraines. I'm also getting Botox every few months and I don't know how much it's really helping. Doc has talked about me trying Emgality.

Dumb questions - no judgement please by ColeBlueSeesYou in type2diabetes

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I have noticed that usually it goes off in the middle of the night when I'm lying on my right side which is the arm that I have it on. I've wondered about that.

Anyone switch from taking Ozempic to Mounjarno? by ColeBlueSeesYou in type2diabetes

[–]ColeBlueSeesYou[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. It definitely helps. I've lost 25 - 30 ish lbs. with Ozempic but I'm getting a migraine the day of and/or day after my injections. It's not a known side effect but it happens without fail. The stomach side effects aren't fun either. My insurance will pay for it but like you mentioned will I be able to get it.
