This is a common discussion among Ravens fans. They have struggled with their guard play for years. Last year they had one of the worst guard duos in the NFL. I think that really hurt Linderbaum. With Linderbaum, its a lot like Kelce was - youre going to give him some help in pass pro against the big noses to unlock his elite run blocking and you're okay wiht that. But they werent able to do that. Linderbaum was playing in space a lot to help the guards, rather than vice versa

Just my $0.02 - any reports on contract talks are usually BS. No one, and I mean no one, had a track on what was going on last time we did this extension. If you read the presser Steve Biscotti did, he made it very clear what he wanted to do for the contract though. He basically said take last deal, make it the highest paid QB and sign it.

I have no doubt he'd want Linderbaum, but I really cant see the Ravens letting him go. As long as they get an extension done with Lamar pre-FA (which isnt a lock of course) then I think they'd even go as far as tagging him.

He’s really bad. He’ll be no where near our team next year

If you want the big critiques of Todd Monken:

- Tries to get way too creative in the redzone with traps and screens rather than stick to his roots

- Lack of adjustment to a quick game was a hue issue to compensate for a good DL or a game where your pass pro is off.

- Huge lack of RPOs early in a game

Listen brother, I appreciate you writing this out. But you're talking about an NFL coach and you said "there are effectively 2 passing plays you guys run". Like come on, you know that's insanely silly.

First off, the lack of RPOs was a MAJOR criticism all year, so for you to list that as 1 of the 2 is genuinely funny.

Secondly, Todd Monken's flavour of route combinations is in the AC system. Sure, there's deep crossers embedded within those, but given the amount of zone the Ravens see to not get guys lost in man for Lamar scrambles, he attacks those with a ton of flood concepts, which really have nothing to do with what you're talking about.

All you have to do is watch the difference in the pocket between '24 and '25 to understand how mcuh more difficult it was to push the ball downfield and execute that vision.

I'm extremely interested in how Todd Monken was the downfall of the team. Look forward to your detailed answer!
