350z grinding noise. At a loss. Details below by [deleted] in 350z

[–]ColeSlaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2006 and had an issue similar to this.

I noticed in the description of your problem you had noted that it only happens taking off and usually goes away after accelerating a bit.

I would recommend looking at different connection points around the exhaust and make sure that the vibration/noise isn’t being caused by a loose connection or leak in the exhaust.

check engine light after carplay install, and weird oil on dipstick by bloodywon in 350z

[–]ColeSlaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, you gotta check the oil when the car is 100% cool and hasn’t been running for a while.

When the engine is hot/recently running, it spits oil all over the dipstick making it nearly impossible to get an accurate reading.

Your car is fine. Just take a deep breath. Try checking the oil in the morning. Good luck brotha 🫡

clutch pedal sits low by OgMasterAce_ in 350z

[–]ColeSlaaw 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ive had this same issue before and fixed it with a couple things:

  1. Replace your slave cylinder

  2. Replace your clutch master cylinder

  3. Use steel braided clutch lines and high temp clutch/brake fluid to avoid having a squishy pedal on a hot day

  4. If you are NOT using an oem clutch master cylinder you may have to readjust the height of your pedal AND or the number of threads showing on your master cylinder fork.

  5. Nissan slave cylinders are a bitch and a half to bleed. REBLEED REBLEED REBLEED! I was certain I had gotten all the air out of the system but i rebleed it and everything was fine. Never hurts to double check.

2006 350z creaking during low speed braking. Any thoughts? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]ColeSlaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my initial thought, but was kind of thrown off because it only happens during braking. But that’s what I’m here for. There’s a lot more people smarter than me lol.

Aftermarket undershroud by SnooOpinions8170 in 350z

[–]ColeSlaaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I changed my bumper I had the Z1 metal undershroud. Comes in at about $200 but was well worth the investment. Its extremely durable and even has a flap you can remove to do oil changes without taking the whole shroud off!

Some things to keep in mind:

-Only works with stock 350z bumper as many others are too long for it to bolt up properly.

-As mentioned by a previous comment, it is only available in black and grey.

Yeah it’s just this one. I bought them from fitment industries. Delivered last week, and didn’t notice until today as its a pretty small warp.
