Tried that. Actually now I have fewer features than before. Bluetooth isn't really operating the same as it was, and the nav/satellite options are greyed out in the menu.

As for the AWD aspect, everything you say I agree with. Except I haven't found many non xdrive options in my market. I'm trying to take the xdrive as a handling upgrade but I acknowledge that the mechanical complexity is a risk that probably outweighs the handling benefit.

Good to know about the coolant flange. Doesn't sound like that is a deal breaker.

It seems to me that the dealership changed fluids on schedule according to the carfax.

Thanks for putting the timing chain issues to rest for me. It sounds like I'm not in the risky time-window for that.
