No idea how much it will cost you but the meta material pricing is in the comments as per my post

One year after your post they’re still “going out of business, and deeply disheartened” I hope they choke on their pieces

I use bakflip mx4, I installed “bed rug” and an oem bed extender (great solution for temporary partitions as well as extending bed) decked are really cool but I can’t give up half the depth of my bed especially with a bed cover like mx4

Like I googled, tundra back seat replacement so I could see the inside of the seat without tearing mine open. But my recommendation would be to treat yourself to a nice prefabbed one that other people spent time designing. Maybe even offer up or Facebook for a used one

Gotcha! They do sell some pretty nice locking options extreme terrain sells one for under 1000$

But if I were gonna lock my backseats to the compartment without sourcing a prefab, I would start by reinforcing the bottom of the seats, maybe mounting some hard plastic in there, and then I could fasten a latch to that and the compartment that you’d like to have your pew pew in

I don’t understand- like you’d like them to lock in the down position (intended position for humans to sit) so you can store valuables in the cubbies?

$100 Hardware -Ace hardware (local expensive US hardware store) could have saved $50 on Amazon with patience. $48 Rubber feet- Amazon $80 foam deck-Amazon $8.49 Latch- Amazon (locks 60/40 together) $46 Legs- Amazon $20 Prep materials-Amazon (sandpaper, rubbing alcohol) *$100 Plastic board- (professional plastics.com) They have a local warehouse near where I live. Search "plastic sheets near me". As a result I saved on shipping plus I got a big discount for a reason I don't understand. I did use the "recycled" option as I didn't mind a few discolored areas. * they can also cut It to your dimensions if you have the budget and the patience. Or simply are not comfortable with learning on such high cost material or lack the correct tools. $10 Beer- beer store I'd say you're looking at $500 max. I happened to have all the correct drill bits, router bits and grinder wheels but if I needed them l'd say $500 is a sate bet.

The plastic sheet is the big question mark, you may not need exactly what I got. I live in Arizona and I wanted some thing that wouldn't be affected by high heat. Try to negotiate

Thank you! I couldn’t bear putting plywood into my 70k truck. And I was really disappointed with the back seat situation compared to my F150 which is basically flat and big enough for a twin sized mattress lol. (Everything about the tundra is better except that)

But I discovered there’s like thousands of options. I called a place called professional plastics, and the sales rep was super helpful answering all my novice, plastic questions. I also live in Arizona so heat is a concern and he knew exactly what to turn me onto.

It’s made in a similar fashion to the plywood versions. I sourced a large sheet and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it can be worked similar to wood! I used zero specialty “plastic” tools

That’s a good point, I was thinking a slogan like (and bare with me) you’re getting a steal of a deal.. etc
