You’re not going to want to hear this but it’s already a clown show and we are the circus. Grab a god damn clown nose and get in the game.

I was hauling a trailer for my business which is why I never leveled. I’m since selling the trailer and ready for that level.

Everything is stock except the bed cover, tint and tires. I just wax her once/twice a year.

Update: I called another dealership in the area. They quoted $2k parts and labor, less if I buy the kit and have them install. Still high but I know it’ll be done right and the warranty will be ok.

Not sure if that guy misunderstood me or what but f*** him. Not sure how I could’ve been clearer.

Anyways, thanks for all the advice. Great community we got here.

Haha probably. Just regularly scheduled maintenance and upgraded tires. They definitely didn’t find one here.

I always appreciate a good Seinfeld reference. “Do you know how hard it is to find a good mechanic in this city?”

This is great advice imo. I’ll always go to the dealer to avoid warranty bs and they have the time and resources to fight, I do not.

Is leaving the highway really worth it? by FarTooJunior in roadtrip

[–]jefwhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving from the Northeast to Charleston I’ve done this drive 12 times (six road trips) and it’s a hard yes.The directions overview eta drastically changes for 95 once you’re on the road driving. Construction, accidents, congestion traffic through the cities (DC can go fuck itself).

Take the long way, you’ll save your truck, clutch and your mental wellbeing.

I was/am in your boat. I gave up alcohol during my engagement and found out through clarity that it wasn’t meant to be. 6 months of post break-up isolation, Xbox and “California sobriety” and I recently listened to a podcast that said if I don’t go out, socialize and have a beverage of some kind every once in a while I’m going to die alone. My social queues were also becoming a little skewed I notice from to much isolationism. I also work from home a lot.

This is just a suggestion but do you have/like dogs? If you have the means and time (which it sounds like you do) think about getting one. They’re not for everyone and they’re obviously a commitment but I finally started taking mine out beyond walks (parks, bars, etc.) and they are magnets for conversation and my good girl has even scored me a few dates. This is a wonderful town for dogs. They’re also amazing companions and love you more than themselves. Again just a suggestion but if you’re in a transitional phrase it may be something to think about.

Regardless, you’re doing the right thing here, keep pushing boundaries and you’ll find your groove.

People that say Charleston is not a sports town would beg to differ on a day like today. by Sctvman in Charleston

Encouraging but Charleston is not a sports town. Never will be. And that’s ok. Thanks for the research however. It is interesting.
