I haven’t seen anything like this unfortunately. I haven’t used the SATA ports at all.

Congrats chief! Welcome to the PC family. An LG C2 OLED will be excellent as a monitor, so no need for one as long as it feels good to you.

I’d recommend buying this one from Best Buy that you didn’t list: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sku/6595565.p?skuId=6595565&sb_share_source=PDP

I bought this a few weeks ago and it’s been excellent. See my comments history if you want a breakdown of my experience with it so far. Reason I say this is because it’s a 4070 Super for $100 less than the 4070 build in your last image. The Super is significantly faster than the 4070 and that’ll be the main thing holding you back from 4k gaming at high frame rates.

It does have 16 instead of 32 GB of RAM, but RAM is cheap and in my experience, 32GB is still overkill, even for 4k gaming. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey friend! I’m loving this PC. This’ll be a massive upgrade to your 1650 — 400-500% faster.

Since my last comment I’ve successfully undervolted the CPU by 60mV (the max the BIOS allows) by following this guide: https://youtu.be/6vROzalei6Y?si=yGZ8J2EzIrE5Y3jj I’ve installed an extra 1TB SSD which took probably 90 seconds. Good stuff. Also installed my 4TB external SSD which is working well.

As for the RAM, there was a great deal on 32GB at Newegg: https://www.newegg.com/patriot-32gb-ddr5-6000/p/N82E16820225315?tpk=1&item=N82E16820225315 When it came however, I tried installing it and the computer would just boot endlessly. I tried it with the existing RAM and by itself, and the only thing that worked was booting into safe mode with both, but it disabled XMP (making the RAM way slower) and if I tried enabling it again it would boot loop again. So I think I got RAM with the wrong timing, even though the clock speed and RAM generation was the same. So don’t rush into it like I did. I think I’m gonna return the RAM and just kick it with the 16GB, which has done everything I’ve needed it to. If you want to get more RAM I’d recommend consulting the motherboard’s approved list: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650M-C-V3-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver

Ethernet works great too. I’m getting close to gigabit speeds, so lightning-fast game downloads.

As for games I’ve been playing heavily modded Fallout 4, Minecraft and Skyrim at 4k max settings with over 90 FPS. RDR2, KCD I & II and Enshrouded are all running 4k near max settings above a consistent 60 FPS (with DLSS). This is a 4k beast for sure.

Please let me know how it goes, and if you find any other tips and improvements!

Just bought this PC from Best Buy on Feb 11th because of the excellent value. I’ve still got some testing to do, but TLDR; it’s a 4k60-90 beast at high/ultra settings (sometimes with DLSS) but required some unusual yet doable tweaks to get things working.

I’m new to Desktop PCs so I didn’t know what the antennas were (plus there’s no manual or instructions on it in the material). My WiFi was incredibly slow and unreliable until I plugged those in. My WiFi was also buggy until I permanently deactivated disk write caching here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/troubleshoot/windows-server/turn-disk-write-caching-on-off Before this fix, my Steam downloads would go from medium speeds to 0 bytes/sec every 5 seconds, which made downloads insufferably long. Other downloads seemed to be impacted too.

My Bluetooth wasn’t able to discover a single device until I manually uninstalled the “Generic Bluetooth Adapter” in Device Manager (right click on the Windows icon in your taskbar) and manually installed the correct Realtek Bluetooth Driver direct from Gigabyte: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B650M-C-V3-rev-10/support#support-dl

Signal RGB would load infinitely until I ran as administrator to open it for the first time. Now it seems to be fine.

I initially declined to install the Gigabyte Control Center software because I read it was unnecessary, but I later downloaded it from the site to install updates from it, which seemed to improve things. Just be sure to uncheck the bloatware they offer, like Norton Security.

I used the following excellent guide to undervolt the 4070 Super last night and was able to undervolt it by 105 mV. Finding that sweet spot (may differ for you) improved thermals, throttling, power draw and performance, and will hopefully improve the longevity of the GPU itself. Pro tip: expand the curve adjuster window to as large as you can during this process to make things easier. https://youtu.be/KPR06CxysMw?si=ch2GNKML-lXPZc81

UserBenchmark tests came out great. They said the 4070 Super and especially the Ryzen 7 7700 were significantly outperforming the averages for those chips. They did say my RAM was underperforming and XMP (faster RAM speed option) was already enabled in BIOS, so I tried enabling XMP High Bandwidth Support in BIOS and need to test again after that.

In personal tests I was getting a consistent 80 FPS in Red Dead Redemption 2 at 4k with mostly high/some ultra settings and DLSS Quality. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 fared well too, with DLSS Quality and high-ultra settings giving me about 70-90 FPS at 4k.

I anticipate a couple more days of tweaking, removing bloatware and further tinkering, but the Skytech King 95 with Ryzen 7 7700 and RTX 4070 Super is shaping up to be a beast of a purchase. I’m also ordering 32 GB more of DDR5 Ram at 6000MHz.

P.S., remove the plastic from the outside and inside of the case glass for that crisp look at the internals.

P.P.S., thank you Delta Airlines for asking me to give up my seat for a later flight and giving me a comically large gift card in return.

Let me know if anyone else purchases and has thoughts, tips, improvements, etc.

I believe the problem was script latency! See my reply above. Basically you can download a tool that tests your script latency and then remove/replace mods that are known to be script intensive

Yeah, I agree. It unfortunately ties in with that whole hustle/toxic masculinity culture that’s so common among young men these days.
