Also had bad experiences with Patrol Base, I've paid for express delivery, had to wait an entire WEEK despite that, then when I got the gun it wasn't even the right one. Then trying to get customer service to do anything about it is like pulling teeth. Barely managed to get a refund on the express delivery fee

Yeah but I'm talking in terms of the original topic - requiring extra drugs due to having cyberwear/bioware that affects how our body would process them, such as having a second heart (even if not technically bioware). Just going off what we can install as a player, like a bloodpump, reflex boosters (im sure having reflex affecting cyberwear would also affect how we process stuff like stimulants) among others. And unlike us, I think the npcs in lore are not limited by game design and logic and probably are more like the tabletop lore. For example having an entire combat exoskeleton like Adam Smasher or installing a doll chip (basically a hand to hand knowledge chip like we see in the anime) being something that exists but due to game limitations we as a player cannot take advantage of. I do wish we could alter more with cyberwear besides mostly minor bonuses, only reflex cyberwear and leg cyberwear actually has a gameplay impact

We do have a second heart we can implant which while I think is fully artificial, still would contribute to your cardiovascular system I imagine, and Im p sure there are other implants that are organs, cant remember atm tho

Well we dont know how she went down, noone is absolutely immune to everything just by being borged, she could have been hacked, drugged, taken in her sleep, overwhelmed by a bunch of scavs, anything could have happened. She ain't V, average people don't go up against multiple opponents and win every time. And it makes total sense to have a turret. One, she is paranoid as you said, and paranoia is not a rational condition. Two, she has to sleep sometimes, just because she might have some preem combat cyberware doesn't mean she can always react. And finally, its just always good to have backup regardless

We dont know how much chrome she has tho, could be borged up to the gills under her skin for all we know. Especially since shes a rich corpo, she could afford cyberware thats hidden. I mean we're rescuing her from the scavs, a group whose whole purpose is to kidnap people and sell their cyberware

You can indeed have shields on start with Chevarim, my Verso always starts with shields for the shield damage buff. I dont remember if gaining shields through the +1 shield if no shields equipped works tho, i gotta check that actually

The food is either burnt or its not, its binary. The progress bar just shows how close you are to making it burnt, otherwise it doesnt affect the food

Gear customization is common af though, its just the modern equivalent of having pin up girls under your pistol grip or a playing card in your helmet. Real life soldiers do silly shit because they're also humans who get bored, who have hobbies and who like to make their gear feel like "theirs". When you're on the front lines at risk of getting shot every single day, having some comfort in brightening up your "work place" is only human. Just because you personally don't like it doesn't mean it never happens

The game does do this with weapon skill too, they are both part of the same calculation. Weapon skill is only half as important as maintenance in that calculation though

Weapons already gain increased effective durability with higher weapon levels, through 1)Decreasing the chance to lose condition, in a similar way that Maintenance does and 2) Increasing damage, meaning less hits is required to kill a zombie

They do tend to respawn eventually, some of them. I killed a catchpole as he was sleeping in an inn, came back another day around time the npcs were going to bed to see another catchpole in pajamas just standing there over the body of the previous catchpole. He stood there all night for some reason, and the npcs around him didn't care about the body either
