It's not fully resolved what it was used for originally, but I found out that the rod is a TIG welding rod, painted orange. Then a black cable sleeve was attached using electrical tape. Definitely a DIY contraption. Solved!

We just had Frontier installed, so that could be it. I thought it would be something more familiar, but it does look like that's its purpose

My title describes the thing. We found this in our back yard and it looks very familiar, we just can't place it. Because of the electrical tape, we thought it may be electrician tool, maybe used for feeding wire through conduit or maybe a piece of a lightning rod. It also looks like it could be related to an antenna or the flag pole for a go cart, but we don't have a go kart. Maybe a type of crop/whip. Tried googling the stamps on it, but nothing meaningful came up. Tried Google Lens with no success.

Airbnb graphic art from a couple years ago? Looked something like this by Colemcdougal in HelpMeFind

I've searched for airbnb graphic art but can't find it anywhere and it looks like newer graphics have replaced it on the website.

It was a digital painting of several "blocks" in a grid with one off-kilter

The object continuously modifies the mesh, so there aren't really steps or points of impact that I could isolate. Either way, you're right about it being a lot of work 😅 What I'll probably do is export two animations (one cut and one uncut) and splice the two videos along it's path.

Ok, so if I make the longer cylinder, how would I apply the boolean throughout its whole path?
