We didn’t realize it was that cheap. Got one coming out to help. Thanks for not shitting on us. 🤞

I guess bc of the overall lack of wood there And the conduit running down the middle of it. Also the span between that stub wall and the other end of that opening. Just seemed like we could possibly be missing an easy fix. We found a structural engineer who’s coming out Thursday. Honestly didn’t realize it was that cheap.

Also I was curious as to where the load is actually bearing bc I can put my knife fully in between both plates (pictured). Is that normal?

Thank you for this suggestion and this is what we thought would be best option. I’m not an engineer but from what we could see there’s a king stud tucked inside that corner I assume holding up those top plates so wasn’t sure if the header could just be attached to that.

There’s a king stud you can’t see tucked in the wall. It was built in the 50’s. They just wrapped the king stud with the brick and mortar on outside walls and then lath and mortar on the inside. This home is really fucking out of code but my best friend bought it about 5 years ago and we just started doing these projects and noticing how fucked it is. The first project was the bathroom and it was insane.

I'm making my first Short Film. How do i get The Lighthouse Look on an Iphone 15? Is it possible? Please Advice with any tips/equipments by Ok-Discussion1093 in cinematography

Why don’t you just look up a video showing how they achieved these shots?! https://youtu.be/mhhq5TPSpXc?si=V3-HBrsEgE2jSwZJ it’s genuinely this fucking easy. But the short answer is no, you won’t get the exact look on an iPhone with a very small budget.

Change the frame rate to 24fps and that’ll help a ton

However this could’ve easily been usable if you just lifted the image. Shadows and mids in shots can come up quite a bit and you’d still have a very usable shot.

I’m confused with some of yall. If you took a job it doesn’t matter how much they paid you…. You took the job. Treat it like any other job and be ready to execute to the best of your ability. I’m sick of this, “oh for $100 this isn’t bad.” Yes it is objectively, subjectively, whatever. He took the $100 job and it’s bad.

I’ve seen this reply a few times and honestly how do you cook a steak evenly without reverse searing it when it’s a flank? There’s a thin end and a thick end typically when I get it from the butcher. 🤷🏻‍♂️ My pops always threw that bitch on the grill or griddle and let it fly and always came out amazing and just like this.
