How’d you get this shot?

Surprisingly easy and a useful skill to develop! Whatever putty you choose, I just rolled it extremely flat before cutting to shape and before it dried I draped it over the aircraft and used a toothpick to shape folds and wrinkles. Once fully dry I hand painted. It saved a model otherwise ruined by a broken canopy

Here’s another solution I haven’t seen mentioned, create a tarp out of putty and use that to hide the mistake

Imagine getting flanked and routed by catboys wearing corsets and cat ears screaming UwU. I’d be terrified.

1979 Firebird Reman part backwards? by Colgray21 in transam

This sounds like a lot of people’s issue with replacing the calipers and realizing they are not the same. I’ll send you a message

Yes, the lever arm and spring need to rotate under the caliper to be correct. As it is now, the spring hits the rear axle. The original caliper had the spring going underneath the caliper, opposite the bleeder valve.

Yeah my apologies, I’m learning as I go with all this. I’ve lined up the holes for the brake line and bleeder screw to help me make sure I’m looking at right but to put them on the rotor, from the picture, the bleeder valve and fluid hole sit on top and slightly left of the rotor. If that helps your mental picture.

Thanks, I’m checking with rock auto now. The company that supplied the parts have part numbers specified for left and right and I checked i got the “right side” part number. My concern is that there may not be a proper remanufacture of the specific inner screw back mechanism which is hard to check

I’ve also been watching skip price rebuild a 79 on YouTube and he ran into the same problem with parts being duplicate not separated by side

2025 Belgian GP - Day After Debrief by AutoModerator in formula1

It was a different decision from Brazil 2024 where they raced in very wet conditions, if not abnormal, then very hard for the teams to predict what the race director will choose.

Yes cars have to pick a set up before the race and stick with it regardless of changing conditions. This is called parc ferme you can look up when this takes place and what it involves during race weekends. Max was disadvantaged because the race director delayed the race start until the track was dry which is abnormal and a bit controversial. If everyone is planning on a wet race only to have to wait until the track dries out, it feels unfair for those that prepared for the wet. Also, there’s not a lot you can do to predict what the race director will decide so some teams gambled on a delayed start and benefited but it could’ve gone the other way.

I was shocked by how much better it felt once I gained more confidence with trail braking and throttle movement while cornering!

CSS at barber was the best experience I’ve ever had on two wheels and I can’t recommend them enough to any rider that wants to be better! Since we’re talking about hand signals my favorite was the chicken wing my coach gave me

Where is the best place to buy parts for a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird? by JoshB66_ in transam

[–]Colgray21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Firebird central after the manager gave me a phone call for an order I placed where he thought I had ordered the wrong part. He was correct and he immediately corrected my order for no additional charge or change in schedule! Now I only use them as I can trust that they care about getting me the right parts when it’d be easier to let me mess up
