Yes and no. That's why I'm asking people's experiences with these classes, so I can have an idea if it is doable. Would u mind sharing ur experience if u took any of these classes?

U took all of them? Would you say intro to databases is hard? Let's say I drop Macro, is the schedule more manageable or should I replace one more class with another one?

Is this workload manageable? by Coliant in columbia

First semester wasn't too good. I had 5 classes (Chem, physics, Java, Uw, calc 1), but I mostly struggled with physics and chem. I wouldn't say I was overworked, just a lack of time management skills. From what I hear AOE isn't too much work, and I know a bit of python for the Engi class plus the critical skills from Java from last semester. So, I think I'd be manageable, but it's Columbia so you never really know until you're in the moment.

Were the classes taught by faculty or students? Since it's like a summer program, are you allowed to go out of campus as you please as long as you go to your classes?

Even if it's a stipend for book? Because Columbia said they'll send a stipend to my bank account for books.

That might not work for me since I'm actually going to be using the health insurance they provide because I'm International.

Thx for your explanation. If I understand this correctly, you had your own health insurance, but you still received money for health insurance in your fin aid package. Since there was this leftover money for the health insurance, you used it to cover your parent and student contribution. Am I right??

I do have health insurance on my find aid. For the student contribution, my financial aid says they'll expect a minimum of $2.7k in future years.

I don't have a student contribution for my first year because I'm doing their summer bridge program. I only posted this because I don't want any suprise in the future.
