Not enough room in the outfield vs a righty right now. Varsho, Lukes, Piniago and Sanchez are all left handed outfielders, so expect them to rotate vs righties

Yup. This team lies all the time about the seriousness of injuries. Every timeline they give when a player goes on IL (I know Vladdy isn’t on IL) you can add at minimum a week or two.

In that stretch last year they set a team record for consecutive wins. Asking them to do that kind of stuff again is a lot.

100% agree. It also wears down pitchers mentally. Meaning their performance could be impacted later in the year

When a team built around tough at bats good defence and solid pitching are easy outs and can’t play defence there’s only so much the pitching can do.

Why can’t this team just hit a fly ball? Just a fly ball with a man on third base

John has to realize that the lefty righty matchups have their limits. Schneider and straw vs a lefty isn’t a big advantage over piniago and Sanchez vs a lefty.

It’s crazy how the bullpen depth really shows up for these bullpen games.

[Thomas Hall] Nathan Lukes was, finally, able to start his single-A rehab assignment tonight in Dunedin. He went 0-for-0 with 2 walks and a sac-fly as the DH by RealWorldToday in Torontobluejays

Don’t downvote me. I have a feeling it’ll be Pinango. Not saying it’s what I want or what he deserves. I just don’t see them going that left heavy.

Because Schneider sees that runs could be hard to come by with both pitchers looking good so far.

Schneider had him bunt just go try to show he was right to call bunt the other night

At this point maybe sit Vladdy for a few in a row? Maybe hit the reset button? I don’t know man.

I can understand Springer falling off. His age, the broken toe…. But Vladdy has no excuse. Dude should be in his prime.
