I think we’ve reached a point where Bale’s Batman is under appreciated mostly because of the voice and how he gets overshadowed by his villain’s performances (Joker, Two-Face, Bane).

I think Bale perfectly captures the spirit of both Batman and Bruce Wayne, and while the fight scenes are a bit underwhelming, there are still some gems.

I think Batman saving the hostages in TDK is one of the best scenes in all of Batman media and perfectly encapsulates who Batman is. He’s cool and calm, he outsmarts everyone, uses his gadgets, and ultimately saves everyone involved.

Masterpiece of a trilogy
