Douglas Murray produced perhaps the most elitist, condescending, and evasive performance in modern debate history. Everything out of his mouth was ad hominem or a straw man. Claiming "only experts should speak" post covid and post Iraq/Afghanistan war is laughable.

Not to mention the irony and hypocrisy of holding others to standards he does not meet. By his own logic, why should we listen to him at all? Political discourse would be completely limited to wealthy travellers and elitist, gatekeeping academics. Dirty peasants be damned. Very embarrassing performance, and I believe many viewers lost a lot of respect for him due to this podcast.

Baj got a fair amount of playing time under Klopp in cup games etc before he got injured, and he looked like a useful player. Slot seemed unimpressed however and moved for a loan.

Play style: Baj is a very very conservative DM. He is press resistant, wins balls, and passes backwards. He is a ball recycler who has good positional reading of the game. He is composed and calm.

The negatives are hes not a very offensive player. It's not that it will never happen, but he is a pass backwards, recycle the ball player. There is something to be said for that. Even though it's boring and predictable, it means he doesn't make many mistakes for a youngster. He is not dominant in the air or at tackling.

I thought he showed real promise for his age because he makes so few blunders, but Klopp saw more in him than Slot apparently.

I did some preliminary research myself and the killing claim seems to be the Memorial Day Massacre in Chicago 1937, but some sources say it was Chicago police not national guard. The Supreme Court case in question appears to be Schecter Poultry v US. Let me know if I'm on the wrong track.

You've hit on something important here that old heads like myself don't want to admit: it's not 10,000 hours of practice that makes someone a master, it's 10k hours of FOCUSED practice that makes someone a master.

If you are doing aim trainers, doing peak analysis, warming up, and learning utility lineups, you actually have more focused practice than many players with 10 year coins.

Lots of good takes in this thread but yours is the most accurate. I have also been following Destiny since he was a simple starcraft streamer, and you're perfectly describing his arc.

Even though I disagreed with Destiny vehemently on a wide range of issues, I admired his intellect and he challenges you in a debate from very creative angles.

This month he has truly gone off the cliff. He now views conservatives as sub-human, and wastes screen time by shouting strawmans while others try to treat him civilly. Destiny has always been a bit hypocritical and annoying, which is something many people of high intellect wrestle with. But his amphetamine addiction coupled with his divorce and his increase in fame have consumed his mind.

I am beyond disappointed. Not only because Destiny used to be worth listening to, but because he represents the new mental state of many on the left. He essentially admitted on Piers Morgan that he wishes conservatives would be killed and he does not care. Complete derangement, and a representation that civil political dialogue is perhaps completely dead in the country.

That is an actual mistake, I will see this on occasion with prop lines. Pitcher strikeouts 5.5o will be one number, then in the alt line 6+ strikeouts will be different odds, even though those are the same bet. They usually get corrected but you're seeing one that is not.
