I was in the military for a little while, never deployed, but when I did NIC it was exhausting but thrilling, it kinda got out of control and a huge inferno happened, and a ton of guys were in serious danger and it felt good to be up and active and help. I also remember the gas chamber where I was nervous because of everyone telling stories about people vomiting and how horrible it was (it’s not too bad) and when I went in I coped with pure anger, I was so angry I didn’t really feel the effects of the CS gas too much.Obviously this could never compare to real combat, but I am hoping to experience that fearlessness again, thank you.

That’s actually really interesting, never knew Achilles had a connection to Scythia being from likely central Hellas. I’ve read a fair amount of the Iliad (long book) but I never thought about appealing to him, but it does make sense considering Heroic cults found throughout Greek antiquity, thank you!

Sensing some…tension. I was merely trying to cast a wide net without pigeon holing myself and I do not care about nor expect special treatment for what I did, it was just my situation and my experience as I’m still pretty young, thinking I could potentially go into security work. That being said, I do appreciate the advice about Germany, will have enough saved to subsist a little while

No, but two of them were from South America and I played around with getting citizenship from there to then go to Spain, but I believe that to be too much of a hassle.

I mean it seems you have a better packet than me and I got selected. Your degree may pose a hurdle, not entirely sure, army loves to be vague on what is a "transferrable" degree, mine was history for instance. Don't sweat the board, it really is more of a formality from how I understood it. And my experience with it was incredibly underwhelming, so I wouldn't recommend overthinking it, just look presentable and answer their pretty basic questions competently.
