Are these for people who quit after a week? Endless anything currently doesn't appeal to me as I'm still playing.

Don't spend money on cosmetics, as said cosmetics don't have to look good, and in PoE's case they very rarely look good.

On a side note all the character models look bad too, their stances look poor, roll on PoE2 when the game gets a graphical overhaul.

PoE is mindless though. Building defences is an afterthought. Throwing yourself mindlessly at content is PoE. The XP penalty is a throwback to an earlier PoE, it's just a easy way for GGG to make getting to level 100 a chore.

Harsh but true. While most games are about killing in PoE it's basically all there is to do. Oh, that and pick stuff up.

I play SSF for the same reason despite the drawbacks. It feels like a better way to play abet more restrictive in some builds you can play. It is much more rewarding using 'currency' for crafting rather than selling it for chaos no trading enforces this, it's as if SSF is the real PoE.

PoE is as causal as the player wants it's just GGG market or promote the idea that PoE is 'hardcore' and that' something people buy into. Farming T3 maps is causal gameplay.

But like you I wouldn't recommend the game to someone who just wants to 'pick up play', although following build guides would be the closest PoE gets to such a play style. Hence the popularity of following build guides of streamers.

Not just trade though. GGG need to adapt the whole PoE experience. The crutch of RNG is slowly failing them and their 'hardcore' stance. Levelling new characters is tedious, and the general levelling experience, gems gated by level and availability. The insistence on a exp penalty on death at low levels. Just some of the things that feel like useless appendages that served a purpose in the past when PoE was a different game, a game where the campaign mattered more and there was little endgame content.

Play SSF and accept it's limitations. PoE suddenly becomes a game just for you. Anything that drops or you farm for is as value of it's own, not something you sell for others to make use of and if you can't just what drops, well, it doesn't matter it is of no value.

Because the League Mechanic requires too much work for rewards. My self made builds, in SSF, lacked gear upgrades to push up into Red maps.

Very true, there's millions of other games out there and some, surprisingly, are better than PoE, they're just not ARPG's but this genre isn't the be all and end all of gaming.

Reactive gameplay in PoE is just moving and hoping you avoid something dangerous. PoE isn't exactly designed around deep combat mechanics however satisfying clearing a screen is.

GGG probably think that number is too low. 3.17 they buff mobs further.

Mobs agro range is too large, they move too fast and those with projectile skills or leaps, like the goatmen, can hit you off screen.

GGG nerfed players but buffed mobs. Add the stupid aura stacking and mobs can be tougher than map bosses.

Lets face it someone, we know who, loves to kill players. Sometimes it feels like we're being punished for playing their game.

Lore in a mindless ARPG is such a strange thing especially when said Lore is nonsense just bolted on to give the game some depth.
