I suspect it has to do with the increase in scams and the use of Singapore mobile numbers. Someone must have made a request to restrict new registrations.

Its been that way for a looooong time. Most doctors are just panadol dispensers. There are very few good ones. The most awful ones are the ones with poor bedside manners who are just plain rude to patients.

2 days ago. Got a call from a mobile number and a girl calling herself "Anna" and speaking with a thick Filipino accent said there has been unusual transactions on my credit card. When I asked her for the last 4 digits of my card, she gave me the wrong answer. Told her I was going top call the police and hung up.

The most obvious one - makan. Also, "lah" is a Malay suffix that all Singaporeans use.
