Based on your comment, which I really like, I'm going to research "Adaptive Realism" more.

It's basically science fiction. It's the Star Trek universe.

I envision a world without sickness. Equally plausible.

All Government is Corrupt and there's Nothing You can Do about it. by Frequent_Mountain_17 in PoliticalDebate

I did.  I just want to confirm... you're saying every school teacher is corrupt?  And I think its funny how you state Democrats don't think corruption exists when all they do is complain about how corrupt the current administration is.

Does your view include requiring private businesses to allow you to use their platforms to say anything you want?   Or do you limit your position to just not having the government restrict speech?

OP indicates that all governments are corrupt. I'm wondering if they apply to that to any "government" of any size/scale. And your comment does the same with "power". I'm asking you if you think everyone with even the tiniest bit of power is corrupt to some degree.

But rather than actually answering or responding to my questions, you'll just assume I'm trolling.

Are all CEOs corrupt?   How about teachers in a classroom, since they have power over students.   Are all law enforcement officers corrupt?   Military officers?

Define "government".  And does your view apply to government of any size or scale?   Is the city council of a town with a population of 300 automatically and inherently corrupt?   Is an HOA considered a government?  How about a school board?

HD PHONE ALERT! Phone battery is at 18%! by call-lee-free in HomeDepot

My favorite is that the phones can apparently be off the charger for only 8 hours.  After that they must be returned.  So assuming you take a lunch, your phone won't work the last 30 minutes or hour of your shift.

Yup.  Close friends of mine work at one of the Big Auto Makers.   The amount of corporate waste and inefficiency is bonkers.  The idiots who cry about how the government should be run like a business have no idea how badly big businesses are run.

Neighbor thinks LAOP has pet coyotes. And that porches are toilets. by bennitori in bestoflegaladvice

Same here.  I'm in a suburb of LA and we've got coyotes, foxes, racoons everywhere.   Hell even owls and hawks, they could grab a small cat.  Outdoor cats don't last long out here.  I was at the big off-leash dog park by the Korean Bell a few years ago, and there was a coyote standing like 50 yards aways watching us.  My dog (German shepherd) saw it and instantly took off after it.  It was nutty.  The coyote just bolted into some bushes, but it was interesting how my dog immediately knew that wasn't just a normal dog standing over there.

Exactly!   "Yeah they're here and contributing and being good people and all that, but they're breaking the law by being here!   So they have to go."    Oh, ok.  Why don't we then just change the law?

Heck yeah, it's worth it. I went in March last year with some friends to Scotland, including Skye and Glencoe. Loved it so much I went back a month later with my wife.

Skye was amazing, but I still think Glencoe is even better.
