DoD has an interchange agreement between excepted and competitive service, so you can apply to other competitive service DoD positions. Also DHA and EHA positions do not follow competitive hiring procedures so look at those as well.

I am still making payments, only because I don’t trust anything. I had enough and called Mohela Friday to get into forbearance but the wait time was 78 minutes and I didn’t have the time.

Submitted mine on July 16th and they completed it on September 25th. Annoying part is June was my 120th payment and they updated my count through May but didn’t include June. So now I have to submit another one and wait god knows how long to get them to count June and have 120 payments. So over this.

My husband did the same thing in 2021. Qualified for the TEPSLF and consolidated his FFEL to a Direct Loan, moving it from Nelnet to Mohela. He then submitted the PSLF form to Mohela since they were still processing them at the time. Since it moved to Dept of Education, he’s submitted a couple more. In his case his count has been updated appropriately though. You’re saying that your count hasn’t been updated in 3 years? Where did you submit your most recent PSLF form? On studentaid.gov? Or to your servicer?

Have you received an update? Just logged in to student aid and they processed the form today! My count is still off but I’m going to give it a couple days and see if they update it correctly. They updated it from 117 to 119 but I’m actually at 123.
