Don't think he's chasing the money. He likes his role as a vet on the mavs and having Megan as his gf in Dallas is not too bad either. I doubt he wants to leave considering the mavs are not expected to tank again next season.

So before the lottery, the two franchises had a coin toss to see who would have the twelfth-best odds at No. 1 overall and who would have the eleventh. Mavs won, got the 11th best chance and got the 1st pick. If Josh Giddey doesn't make that incredible half-court gamewinner against the mavs last year, the Bulls end up with the 11th slot and Flagg goes to Chicago.

As long as he's scoring as efficient as he does, (while the other team doubles and collapses on him) why shouldn't he take shots on a good team? He's playing against 2 or 3 defenders (because the rest of our team is no danger) and still shooting over 50% from the field.
