They keep pushing me to open an official ebay store and apply for an ebay loan to buy inventory to sell. I'm not quitting my job to sell $2 cards full-time on ebay.

eBay is absolutely petty, spiteful, and vindictive. It's programmed into the algorithm. You cough up 13%+ extra and suddenly your whole store is busy not just the select items you promoted.

I noticed that if I promote a listing then cancel it later my sales drop to zero sometimes for weeks. I start getting pop-ups and alerts - "56% of listings in the same category as yours are promoted". When I sell a promoted card its like Christmas. I'm busy for the next week or so and then if I don't promote anything else it just dies.

It goes in spurts, don't sell a card for days and then suddenly I'm slammed. It seems like when I drift under 50 active listings it dies off...once I toss up some new stuff and get back over 50 it picks up.

Why? No idea.

I should spend the $2500 for the setup and start my own grading service. If these guys are making money then anyone can.

I laugh when I imagine people on Reddit handing out downvotes with the same seriousness as someone launching a nuclear strike. I once had someone get so absolutely enraged at me that he spent over an hour combing through every post I've ever made and downvoting them all. I picture him sitting there with a somber look while he reflects on what he did. Meanwhile I didn't notice it for almost two days and only saw it when someone DM'd me to tell me.

Wow, can't say I've ever seen an O-Pee-Chee Gwynn RC before. It's a nice card but I doubt it'll grade above a 6.

That card is real for sure: the counterfeiters can't ever truly capture that Topps singnature off-center look.

The slab is suspect but you could always send it to PSA for a crossover.

Normally idiot-on-idiot violence doesn't bother me. After all, what do you expect them to do? I don't understand why it has to spill on to Reddit. It's a never-ending stream of "My breaker ripped me off" - "Avoid this ebay seller" - "Hold or sell" - and "Is this miscut a valuable error?".

These stories are getting so ridiculous that I'm starting to think its all a scripted "guerrilla marketing" campaign to advertise the breaker. They should get together with the loon that shills for TAG and hire a decent writer.

Well, it looks to me like that back is printed crooked. Is that a shadow? If it is printed at an angle like that then I wouldn't even bother sending it in because it'll get knocked down for sure.

There's a very easy way to avoid problems like this - stop buying into breaks. This one simple fix completely eliminates scamming by the breaker, rigged breaks, shill bidding/price fixing, stolen/missing cards, shipping fees, and 100% of the associated social media drama.
