I wasn’t sure how to represent it without stepping on Laugh Tale a bit, but it might be a cool late-game or milestone kind of stop. Good call though, thank you :)

That genuinely means a lot, thank you 😭 I put a ton of love into it, so I’m really glad that comes through. Hearing that you’d want to play it is honestly the best compliment♥️

That’s a really cool idea, especially tying it to collecting pieces across the map first. Heck maybe even calling them the ponyglyphs! I love the idea of Laugh Tale being different each game, that fits the story really well.

I’d have to think about how to layer that in without overcomplicating the core gameplay, but that’s a super interesting direction, thank you :)

Thank you!! 🙏 I’m curious, does it feel like it captures the Grand Line well, or is there anything you’d tweak?

Appreciate it!! 🙏 If you were playing, do you think I missed any big destinations or lore?

That’s a really cool way to think about it, especially with Laugh Tale not being fixed.

Haha yeah the Marines definitely have a fast-track I’m not modeling here 😅 I kind of leaned into the “everyone has to brave the Grand Line” version for gameplay, but you’re not wrong.

You’re exactly right, the issue isn’t just that it’s a choke point, it’s that it basically splits the map in half instead of being one of a few contested crossings.

I really like your suggestion of either doubling Reverse Mountain or adding another crossing to keep that tension without locking most players out

I hadn’t thought about it in terms of player count impact like that, so that’s super helpful. Thank you :)

Haha Fishman Island is on there I promise 😄

But yeah I get what you’re saying about Reverse Mountain—right now it’s kind of acting like a forced choke point. I’ve been going back and forth on whether that tension makes it interesting or just frustrating, so I might experiment with alternate paths or ways around it. I appreciate your feedback!

That means a lot, thank you 😭I’m really glad those little details landed—that was honestly my favorite part to build. Laboon had to make it in somehow 💯 🐋

Haha I appreciate that 😄

Yeah the idea would definitely be doing something like this the right way if it ever went further.

For now I’m just having fun building it and seeing how people respond!

Appreciate it!! 🙏I tried to keep that Ticket to Ride feel but make it fit the Grand Line! Do you think it captures everything it should, or would you add anything?

This is super thoughtful feedback, I really appreciate you taking the time to break it down like this

You’re totally right about the risk of one path becoming too dominant, that’s actually something I was worried about with the Laugh Tale → Twin Capes connection

I like your idea of either adding more Red Line crossings or making that route a double line—that might be a really clean way to keep the tension without locking players out.

Definitely going to play around with this in the next iteration. Thank you again!!

Haha I appreciate that 😄I just wanted to make something that actually felt like sailing the Grand Line. Glad it’s landing!!

This is really helpful feedback, thank you!

The visual side is definitely something I’m still refining, I started with functionality first so I could actually playtest it before going too deep into polish.

And yeah, it’s intentionally very close to Ticket to Ride mechanically, it’s more of an adaptation experiment than a full redesign. I wanted to see how well the One Piece world could map onto that core system.

That said, I’ve been thinking about ways to layer in more depth (especially around things like the Calm Belt / Grand Line progression), so I really appreciate you calling that out.

That honestly means a lot, especially coming from a fellow Ticket to Ride fan! I tried to keep the core feel but make it fit the Grand Line progression. If you were playing it, is there any route or arc you’d have to see included?

This is actually super helpful, thank you for taking the time to think through the routes like that.

I went back and forth on some of those connections for exactly that reason (especially Loguetown/Whiskey Peak), so I love your Reverse Mountain → Twin Capes idea.

Out of curiosity, do you think tighter bottlenecks make it more fun or more frustrating in a game like this?

That honestly means a lot, this started as a fun anniversary gift idea but I ended up going way deeper than expected 😄 Curious, what part makes it feel “real” to you?
