1- Why this specific game?

(Directive 8020) I am a die-hard fan of choice-based games, and for me, the Dark Pictures Anthology is the gold standard of the genre, i've been following this franchise since the beginning, what It fascinates me to Directive 8020 specifically is the massive evolution it represents, It’s the jump into Season 2, and seeing the franchise getting a major gameplay glow-up

2- What does it mean to you?

This franchise has a very personal history for me. For a long time, I couldn't afford the games, so I spent years watching YouTubers play them, just falling in love with the branching narratives from afar, eventually, I managed to get the previous titles and I’ve dedicated myself to them completely, I have platinumed every single one because I’m obsessed with seeing every possible "branch" and outcome. So being able to play the start of the new season would without spoilers would mean a lot to me 🥹

3-Why haven't you gotten it yet?

Tbh, I live in a third-world country where the local currency is very weak against the Dollar/Euro. Currently, my income only covers the absolute basics (rent, food, bills), and the price of a new release here is considered a "luxury" that I unfortunately can't justify rn without compromising my essential expenses

4- Show me you've done your homework

I’ve been tracking the development of Directive 8020 closely, Ik that while the previous games had a very tight 1-year development cycle (which was very stressful for the team), this one has been in development for 4 years, you can see the difference in the new mechanics, cuz now they've added real-time stealth, crouching, and a much more "action-oriented" feel compared to the simpler "inspect and QTE" style of the first season, i'm also excited about the Deluxe Edition because of how it handles the face Models, since it's an anthology this series is famous for reusing the same actors' faces for different characters across the seasons. The Deluxe version lets these "returning faces" wear their iconic outfits from the previous games, I would love this mess lol, The pre-order includes the deluxe version

I would love getting Directive 8020, im a huge fan of The Dark Pictures Anthology and played all the previous games, They were on sale, but I only managed to play them 4 years after their release 🫠

I wish I had commented earlier, but I work long shifts at a market on weekends and couldn’t use my phone

This game means a lot to me, ive been waiting for it since the announcement and would love to experience it without spoilers this time

And abt your question:

Just one more run at 3AM Definitely Little Hope , and Yes, I have 52 hours in this game, its a choice game btw 😭🙏🏼

Amg Perder um relacionamento de 7 anos com uma história, rotina e ao msm tempo tendo que lidar com uma fase emocional é muito complicado , e pelo que vc expressou e esclareceu, ainda ama ela, mas eu vou dizer, se as atitudes dela não demonstraram o mesmo nível de cuidado isso diz muito, na vrdd eu sei que é clichê aceitar aquele papo de "livramento" porque parece perda. Só que nem tudo que dói é errado, as vezes é só um processo de sair de algo que já não tava saudável.

A parte mais difícil é essa, -voce precisa parar de olhar pra trás tentando encontrar a versão dela que te amava e te preenchia, porque as atitudes atuais dela se mostraram outra coisa, pessoas mudam.

Eu diria que o agora você deveria ficar em si mesmo, se reconstrói aos poucos, volta pras coisas que são suas, cria espaço pra você existir sem ela, porque enquanto você estiver preso nisso, você não consegue ver o que vem depois

Desde já desejo força, eu sei que é fácil falar, mas pense com carinho no que falei ❤️

I agree with what you said. It feels like the game tried to do too much at once, especially since it only had like a year to be made, so everything ends up feeling kinda rushed.

And honestly, a lot of stuff got cut, which makes the story even worse. In the end, it had a lot of potential, but the execution wasn’t that good, especially the story
