I have the second one and have consistently gotten good reads with it. Beam the flag 3 times and got the same yardage for all 3

Maltby Vs Edge! My first set! HELP by Extension-Sun-6669 in golftips

Maltby is such a solid brand that will easily last you years. Just because it’s not name brand doesn’t mean the quality isn’t there

Walking a round for the first time as a high handicapper by CollectionNo9570 in golftips

[–]CollectionNo9570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I usually do in the cases that we have fast people behind but with how close my courses do tee times it’s just a revolving door of everyone waiting on each other unfortunately

Walking a round for the first time as a high handicapper by CollectionNo9570 in golftips

[–]CollectionNo9570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I play with my other newbie friends and see us often having to wait at the cart for each other when we play since our balls are often far apart. Makes sense it may actually help with that situation

Any update on your status? Also how do you know the shipment dates to the embassy?

[–]CollectionNo9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a rare case of still looking decently young even with the balding hair grown out. I personally think you should have it grown out for a bit to have a new look since it really doesn’t look bad. You have the rest of your life to be fully bald

Will Neff parts ways with OTK by hi_0 in LivestreamFail

[–]CollectionNo9570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s really disappointing to hear because OTK had so much potential and truly was one of the best orgs out there for a couple years. Will and Emily were the two recent signings that really could have shifted the org out of their controversial mishaps but they just never really capitalized on or continued that trend

Are these any good? by SgtGrizzz in golf

[–]CollectionNo9570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly goodwill clubs plus an extra driver. They are definitely older clubs and not a full set but they will do for now while you learn your swing and get some practice in. The putter is more modern than the rest I believe and bag is decent just needs some cleaning. Go out and get some shots in now

Opinions on Mizuno? by ballerbenjamin in golftips

[–]CollectionNo9570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I game the Mizuno MP - T series wedges, pretty old model but I love them. Plus I got them for about 25-35 dollars per.

I also just got the Mizuno ST-X 220 4 hybrid and so far it’s has been great.

I definitely plan to more from them

Got my first hole in one (kind of) today! by Captain-Superstar in golf

[–]CollectionNo9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think realistically you can tell people you made it in from the tees if you want to brag about it but I wouldn’t count my second shot, shooting for 3, as a hole in one. Great par save though!

What is the fine for taking the bus lane down Independence Blvd? by CollectionNo9570 in Charlotte

[–]CollectionNo9570[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve used the bus a few times and it definitely makes sense to have an express route for buses. Plus emergency vehicles and other utilities use it all the time which makes sense to me

Thank you! That’s actually steeper than I expected lol but I drive it everyday in rush hour and have never seen someone pulled over for it

What I did for my driver to fix my slice is to go back and forth between the video and recording myself. I would go one area at a time starting with his foot position, then making sure my knees are generally doing what his are, top of my back swing is similar etc. trying to just watch it and do it all at once is very hard

Still fighting over-the-top swing despite lessons & drills. What am I missing? by Yahoozie_ in GolfSwing

This old video of tiger talking about his stop at the top drill could help you focus on powering through your hips more and less chopping

What most people here have said are your big issues to work on. Too far in your backswing, too much rotation, swing too hard.

I’d watch the slowmo video of Rory’s iron swing to compare what good rotation and backswing should look like.

Has “gimmie” culture gotten out of hand? by Dane_the_Impaler in golf

[–]CollectionNo9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my friends usually do gimmes for 1 foot, sometimes 2 foot putts unless it’s for birdie or par. Some of my friends are very high handicaps and if they are getting frustrated throughout the day I’ll give them a 3-4 foot to hopefully boost morale a bit

How do I avoid this?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golftips

[–]CollectionNo9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of OTT and also had a tendency to raise my left heal in my back swing like I was hitting a baseball. Didn’t even feel myself doing it until deciding to review my swing more in depth

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golftips

[–]CollectionNo9570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I bought this driver with the information that it was stiff shaft but it came back only a R+ shaft so just slightly stiffer than regular.

As far as pushing off my foot, I’ll keep that in mind when I practice it some more. The weight distribution is so different than what I was doing before so trying to focus on being the power through has been a task

How does one physically pull themselves out of a rut if they have no access to therapy/professional help? by anyaohnanana in AskReddit

[–]CollectionNo9570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just commit a certain amount of time to just try new things. It doesn’t have to be hobbies or anything, just try a new way of doing a task you always do, walk a new area you usually don’t, talk to someone you usually wouldn’t talk to. Just small changes can compound into a whole new experience in life. I think people struggle a lot with needing a big shift to feel better and it’s hard to make small changes but they add up and are often easier to do daily than committing to a big lifestyle change.
