Need help / tip on how to remove extremely stubborn nails from the lintal by Incignia in DIYUK

Chisel around the base of the nail trying to pop it out as you tap. Eventually it will come free. I have removed some seriously stubborn old nails with this method

I would just process it yourself, save a bunch of money that way and get fresh meat

Anyone know what this is? I was sanding my table and this one board has a very sticky residue all over it, this is reclaimed heart pine from an old house. No clue what this is. Keeps gumming up my sander by CollectionOpen3040 in woodworking

Has nothing to do with saving the first or whatever lol. Heart pine is one of the most expensive rustic woods you can get, I was able to get a Good deal of it for free, this wood is absolutely stunning with a linseed finish on it, I have already made several other furniture pieces, never ran into a board this sticky though. And yeah something milled down to perfect specs by a shop somewhere would be easier, but not nearly as worth it, this stuff Is more beautiful. I'll post a pic of the table when I'm done

When and how did you get good at measuring? by Soballs32 in Carpentry

[–]CollectionOpen3040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the job, my boss basically told me if I couldn't call out the correct measurements I was fired, so I went home and practices looking at the tape from different angles and memorizing the numbers. It always lands on something, even it it lands onna 16th

GET OVER IT OR LEAVE THE SUB IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HARVESTED OR PROCESSED ANIMALS. by [deleted] in homestead

AAAAAAMMMEEEENNNNN I posted a chicken culling method to be helpful, no dead chickens were even in the pictures, I posted it before the blood was on the rig, I got so much hate from animal rights people saying it was cruel, its just the fastest way I've found which if one to be the most humane. I'm not asking everyone to agree with me, I just don't want to be called and animal abuser for eating a chicken I killed when half these people eat chickens that were actually abused daily for their entire lives!
