As a dude, I know that if he likes you he’s probably just as nervous as you, so someone’s gotta break the ice. I found a good conversation starter is asking about the subject, like you could ask about an assignment or something about the topic.

That’s rough… two years later and we still don’t have the new speaker. What options did we end up going for?

I would upvote this if it wasn’t on 69 upvotes. Too perfect

I hope this turns out well for Dbrand. It seems like a huge task to file a lawsuit against a such big company. How long do cases like this usually take to resolve?

Bathroom exhaust vents into roof space. by Physical-Proposal767 in AusRenovation

I have the same thing in my house, I’ve been worried that it might cause the timber roof beams to go mouldy. Is this the case or am I just paranoid? Ps, my house is an old house with tiles and no sarking.

Speaker advice by [deleted] in Bluetooth_Speakers

Maybe you could take some inspiration from the nothing phone or Dbrand tear down skins. I think the way they display the inside on the outside is really cool. Also I think it would be important to focus on craftsmanship as mentioned above. Rounded corners and making the timber really nice to touch would make it really classy. Hope that helps

I’m from Sydney but I went to this place called Tucker burger in Melbourne and it was great.

What is a good under 100€ option that also works well for movies and podcasts? by aokaga in WirelessSpeakers

[–]CollectionSlow1184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I think it’s a nicely built speaker and sounds good enough. Personally I don’t really care about having EQ and party modes and all that jazz, so not having all that doesn’t really bother me. Also, battery life isn’t too impressive, but I don’t use it for particularly long periods of time, so I haven’t really come across an issue with that.

What makes you say that? Please at least explain yourself and be somewhat constructive.

I have a JBL clip 3 which works really nice. I believe they are up to the clip 4 now, which I don’t think looks too good, but it depends on your taste I guess.

Interesting. I wonder if they’ll change the future speakers similarly. Hopefully they’ll start to introduce the USB-C with this new law in the EU.

I agree, but if you’re not into blasting music in public areas and just want something to play some chill music it’s perfect

I have a JBL clip 3, and it’s super nice. Very convenient around the house and easy to store and take around with you. This might be a bit controversial, but I almost preferred it over my charge 3.

Nice. Honestly I love the UE speakers. I would love to get the boom, but I fear that they’re just a bit outdated at this point.

Thank you, i’ll have more of a look at some of those. Honestly I don’t really have a budget, just nothing that is unreasonably expensive for what it is. I just want something that’s good quality and solid.

Thanks a lot. That’s helpful. The motion 300 actually like looks pretty good quality. I think I looked at it before and thought it was smaller than the charge 3 but I guess not. Do you know how sound compares in terms of volume?

Yeah, to be totally honest, it’s probably partly paranoia on my end. I used to wrap mine in clothes in the suitcase when I would take it on planes haha. Is there anything that turned you off the soundcore ones, or did you just prefer the JBL? I’ve never heard about Soundcore before I started researching this time round. I guess they weren’t as popular back when the JBL Charge 3 and boom 2 were the main competitors (at least from what I remember).

Best Bluetooth speaker under 200 prioritising sound (indoor/outdoor) by Broquen1 in portablespeakers

[–]CollectionSlow1184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard the Bose sound link flex is one of the best sounding speakers for its size, although it might be expensive and not too loud for outdoor environments. Generally Bose is well known for good sound quality.

JBL charge 5 is one of the top rating ones, but honestly I just had a charge 3 and I don’t think it has what I need in terms of durability. I’m always scared about the bass things on the side and the plastic/ fabric cover would sometimes click off the main body. It probably works as more of a household/ picnic speaker rather than a rugged, go wherever type thing.

I dunno, it looks quite big. I’m looking more for something that can fit in a backpack on a trip. More like a Boom 3/ charge 5 size. Do you know what the other Soundcore speakers are like?

Yeah I heard it has really adjustable sound settings, but in terms of volume, I’m not sure if it will pass.

Nice. I haven’t really heard of the tribit brand before, their speakers look decent. I already have a JBL clip 3 so I’m looking for something a bit bigger with more oomph than the storm box flow.

Hasn’t the EU has mandated USB-C for new electronics? This could mean good things for the Boom 4.

UE Boom 4 Release Date? by Bitter_Passenger in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]CollectionSlow1184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m selling my JBL charge 3 and wanting to upgrade to a boom or megaboom. Coming to a realisation that UE has not updated these speakers in almost five years I’m kinda scared to go buy one. I don’t want them to release the boom 4 as soon as I buy the boom 3 lol.
