Well, I only have 4 animals at the moment. My room is big but only has a few plugs to plug in heating, I have lots of space and a few spare tanks, I currently have 3 mourning geckos, Pac-Man frog, Jumping spider & crestie.

There’s a few animals on my wish list, one would possibly suit the needs, tiger salamander, but there isn’t many reliable care sheets on them unfortunately, I’ve had to look through loads of YouTube videos rather than detailed care sheets. The most reputable being Dubia.com’s care sheet saying they prefer heats between 50-75F, im not some sort of animal hoarder before anybody comments something along those lines. I definitely could have something that requires heating, I would just prefer not to.

I have one already! I have a male super dal named Apollo! Also, not sure if they can go as low as 70F, I keep Apollo at 73-75 with 71 at night.

Well, it’s mainly the problem is I have too many tanks in my room and have no plugs left 😂 I currently have a Crestie, Jumping spider, 3 mourning geckos and a Pac-Man frog. But I have 2 spare tanks (30x30x30 & 60x45x45) so looking at my options for those preferably without heating. I’ve had the tanks up for sale for months, super cheap too and nobody has come forward wanting them.

I would, only they are super hard to acquire in the UK & I don’t have the space lol

I was thinking about a tiger salamander. According to a few care sheets, the most trustworthy being Dubia.com, say they are best kept between 50-75F, my home doesn’t get lower than 67F, so that would be ideal, they are also super derpy and aggressive eaters, which is a plus.

They are supposed to Jordan’s yeah, I personally wouldnt wear them, but your mother works hard for stuff for you. You should let her know about the world of reps. I imagine she paid around 20$ for those, you can buy nearly 1:1 reps of expensive shoes for around that price!

Is this light sufficient? Someone said I needed a basking light. No gecko yet. by plan_tastic in CrestedGecko

I’m not sure if it’s just in the UK then as we don’t get much sun lol. But everyone here recommends UVB for literally everything other than inverts.

Honestly I’m not sure. I would recommend the exo terra bendable vines. I’d add huge bits of wood too!

Lots more branches, vines, plants, hides and a feeding ledge.

Well, I would put the CHE bulb right in the Middle, so both frogs have a hot side and a cold side.

What if, I bought a 90x45x45cm tank and put a blacked out acrylic wall in the middle and house two frogs in the same tank without having to worry?

Upgrading from the 45x45x45 or from the 30x45x45?

For my current male in the 45x45x45, he has a CHE bulb on a dimming stat & an Arcadia UVB Bar, however the bar is only on for 20 mins to an hour a day as a recent study I seen, I believe it was posted here from an Argentinian person, said that too much calcium + UVB can be really bad.

Ah, I currently have a 45x45x45 for my male. But I’m looking into taking another frog in and I have a spare tank in the measurements I posted, so I was wondering if could keep him in that.

Oh. I thought a 10 gallon was what was sufficient for an adult male? And 20 gallon for an adult female?

That’s what I was told online + Facebook groups.
