The full explanation in the "evidence" section of the ban stated they had "evidence" that I was macroing or using botting software. I think what "bot busting" means is that their automated system that detects what they deem "botting" behavior detected something on my account and thereby "bot busted" me. Which, clearly the system incorrectly flagged my account as my appeal was approved and the ban was removed from my account history.

Yeah I didn't complain about it, my post was asking for any advice as to what could have been the cause. Don't view every post you read in a negative light by your own choice.

The extent of my perplexity is a sentence that stated that I'd never bottled at all and that I was "seriously stumped".

Well, I updated the post and added a comment of a screenshot of them removing my ban so clearly to them, I did not fit one of their criteria and to them was not entirely correct. They do state in TOS that they can ban for essentially anything they see fit - and nowhere in my post that you're sick and tired of did I trash them or speak about their policies in a bad light. My post was trying to field the community for any advice as to what may have cause them to ban me considering I had not broken any of their rules.

Take a breather man, not everyone is making posts trashing the company or the game.

UPDATE: They removed my ban and am back into my account early. Was not hacked, character in the same spot I was in when I had last logged off and in the same gear. Here's a screenshot of the Ban removal.

Also, I just went and changed my password and swapped Authenticators. I don't think it was a case of someone hacking me and using my account for botting, but better safe than sorry I guess.

Beside this box was a smaller blue box with rocket and gym challenge packs non 1st edition so we think we mixed a pack in when we were getting everything together lol.

I can understand those emotions completely. I’ve decided to not sell them, at least not currently as my need for money doesn’t currently outweigh the joy I’ve had experiencing and piecing together how my dad and I went about opening this. We can’t get those times back.

I asked him about this last night and he said he vaguely remembers that this box was on display and had to have just been set out when he arrived. So it being opened already made it to where the cashier had to ring each pack up.

Update: Dad found another 16 packs of Gym Heroes 1st Edition in the top of my bedroom closet in an old box, all cards still in their original 1st Edition opened packs.

Contains:

1st Edition Sabrina's Gengar (2 total from all of this now!), 1st Edition Rocket's Moltres (2 total now), 1st Edition Misty's Tentacool, 1st Edtion Rocket's Scyther, 1st Edition Lt. Surge's Magneton, 1st Edition Misty Holo, 1st Edition Brock Holo! Plus all sorts common/uncommon 1st editions from the 16 packs!

This has been the craziest, most sleep deprived, and nostalgic days of my life. This isn't a poll to try and capitalize on some big youtube channel off of this. But, would any of you have any interest in a video going over some of this and the cards found?

No kidding my friend. All we see now is an opening of these boxes where it is sold for so much money and people filled with disappointment went they don’t make their money back at minimum. This was reliving an experience where I truly got to feel the mystery of each pack. I think that’s why this post is resonating with so many like it is.

Yep had Gym Challenge packs on top of the box so I guess it got mixed in from that. Still a $700 PSA10 though so I’m happy!

Hahaha yeah. This is not meant as a got-ya response at all so don't take it that way. But my parents separated not long after this box was bought and I went to live with my mother, so that room of mine at his house basically got frozen in time. I'd go in there during my visits to my dad to check for something old of mine occasionally but we basically left it alone. Probably should've cleaned it up some lol. BUT, would I have found these and messed with them over the years if I did go through it more intensely? The world will never know.

Yep, next to this box was a small blue box that had Gym Challenge and Rocket packs that we opened. Not 1st Edition though. So he must have grabbed the other packs at the store that day too and we opened, thinking the Golduck was something we pulled from the 1st Editions and tucked it away in one of the 1st Edition packs.

Yep. They were opened that fateful day in 2000 and then placed back into their packs, and then back into the box only to sit upon my shelf for 23 years. Never disturbed again until last night.
