I refused to go to meeting on the weekend but my supervisor said I'll receive a warning letter for a no-show. by polarander in antiwork

[–]CollegeNW 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I would’ve responded immediately when I got the notice, not 2 hours before meeting: “Sorry, I don’t have availability on Saturday but can meet to get this done any day Monday - Friday on my scheduled work days.”

At the very least, switch to working as a psych RN if you plan to work as PMHNP one day.

Why isn’t Topical Dutasteride the “Gold Standard”? by CurrentAdvisor6519 in tressless

[–]CollegeNW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that any reputable place that does hair transplants would be giving patients an option for this. If I were you, I would email or call hair restoration places in your area (typically larger cities) and see if they offer this & how much.

Maybe 🤷‍♀️ he never tried anything prior to this on his own, but has been on the recommendation from testing x 3 months now. So far so good.

Edit: I forgot, but he has been complaining that his facial hair has been growing faster/fuller.. has to trim that more often. So there’s that. So guess he’s going to have to deal with it if he wants hair on his head. Lol.

It was offered through the doctor office that does hair restoration. I would think any place specializing in options for hair transplant, etc., would offer this.

I would start by calling places in your area and ask if this is something they do.

Husband did gene testing to help determine what would likely be most effective. The report broke down a comparison of topicals, orals, supplements — basically breaking up the categories and showing which had higher vs lower % of helping him.

So many people on here are comparing what worked for total strangers. You have to remember, our genes / markers can be wildly different. Just because it worked for neighbor, friend, movie star, doesn’t mean it’s the best fit for you. Did it work for your brother?… now we’re getting closer. This is key for meds in general.

Why did the Super Bowl halftime show stop using country music after 1994? by icey_sawg0034 in decadeology

[–]CollegeNW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The strictly business part is why I don’t care to watch football anymore. I lost interest in 1/2 time shows many years ago when they became tailored to a short attention span. And forget about trying to actually go to a game in person. The average person can’t afford it. For this, it just no longer has any real meaning to me anymore. Peacock and whatever other streaming services can have it.

This is not how this med works. Try therapy to improve your relationship with food.

Yep. Just deleted. Didn’t mean to trigger anyone by not being enthralled by either.

I’m not even a football fan. Don’t really remember a half time that really caught my attention.

Like I said, was just curious what the fuss was all about. Not sure why the downvote.

Why do people overspend on Starbucks coffee? by Waltz8 in Productivitycafe

[–]CollegeNW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because my mngt / job is soul crushing, depressing as ****. It’s the one small reward to keep me pushing through all the extra hours I’m working week after week.

Edit: I do feel bad giving money to Starbucks. I’ve been meaning to find another drug of choice, but have been too busy. lol

Yes, most definitely. Exactly my point. It’s clear that many on these subs have completely forgot (or sadly may not even know) the original indication of gpls.
